Availability
Pet care is a consistent part of my daily routine. I plan my schedule carefully around work and school so I can provide reliable, attentive care. On days when I have class or longer work shifts, I’m available in the mornings or evenings, and on lighter days and weekends I have more flexibility for visits, walks, and extended care. Because I care for my own dog and cat every day, I’m very familiar with maintaining routines like feeding, walking, and playtime. When I have school, my dog attends the dog daycare where I work, so she stays active, socialized, and well cared for instead of being home alone. This allows me to fully focus on the pets I’m caring for and keep everyone comfortable and happy. I prioritize consistency and communication so pet parents can feel confident their pets are receiving dependable, loving care throughout the week. Availability: Mondays: Available mornings and evenings (unavailable 9am–3pm due to class) • Tuesdays: Available evenings only (message for actual times) • Wednesdays: Available mornings and evenings (unavailable 9am–3pm due to class) • Thursdays: Available evenings only (Message for actual times) • Fridays: Available late afternoons/evenings (working 7am–1pm and class 2pm–3pm) • Weekends (Saturday & Sunday): Generally available and flexible

Safety, trust & environment
I prefer to care for pets in their own home, as it’s less stressful for them to stay in a familiar environment and routine. Caring for pets in their own home also makes it more convenient for clients, as there’s no need to transport your pet. I adapt to each pet’s personality and needs, whether they’re energetic and playful or calm and shy.
Information Elyse R. would like to know about your pet
To provide the best care, it’s helpful for me to know your pet’s: • Daily routines (feeding times, walks, naps, playtime) • Personality and temperament (shy, energetic, fearful, social) • Medical needs or medications (how to give them, dosage, timing) • Allergies or dietary restrictions • Favorite toys, games, or comfort items • Behavioral quirks (like chewing, barking, or fear triggers) • Any past experiences with other animals or people The more I know ahead of time, the smoother and stress-free their care will be. I aim to follow their routine closely, make them feel comfortable, and give them the loving attention they deserve while you’re away.
A typical day
I love keeping pets happy, active, and engaged! Activities will depend on your pet’s personality, energy level, and preferences. Some examples include: • Walks and outdoor adventures tailored to their energy and comfort level • Playtime with toys — fetch, tug, or interactive games • Training reinforcement for basic commands and positive behaviors • Cuddles and lap time for pets who prefer calm companionship • Mental stimulation games like puzzle toys or hide-and-seek treats • Gentle socialization for dogs who enjoy meeting others, always safely I always follow the pet’s routine and personality, ensuring they feel safe, happy, and loved while having fun. My goal is to make every visit enjoyable and stress-free, so pets look forward to spending time together.

Pet care experience
I’ve always been around animals, and caring for them comes very naturally to me. I currently work at Happy Hounds, a dog daycare, where I’ve been caring for dogs for nearly two years. During this time, I’ve gained hands-on experience with dogs of many different personalities, energy levels, and needs, including feeding routines, walking, cleaning, playtime, and making sure dogs feel safe and comfortable in my care. I’ve also volunteered at the humane society, which taught me how to work patiently with animals who may be nervous, shy, or adjusting to new environments. I understand the importance of reading body language, moving at the animal’s pace, and providing calm, consistent care. At home, I have my own dog, a pug, and my own cat, so I’m very familiar with daily pet routines, different temperaments, and the individual attention pets need. I’m comfortable caring for both dogs and cats, and I am able to administer medication when needed, always following instructions carefully to keep pets healthy and stress-free. Whether it’s walks, drop-in visits, or extra attention and cuddles, I treat every pet like they’re my own. Pet parents can count on me to be reliable, communicative, and attentive, and I always strive to provide safe, loving care while you’re away.
