I care for pets in clients' homes by making sure they are greeted/acknowledged. Sometimes it takes a while for them to calm down. :) Checking on food and water is my next task. I will let your pet outside/on the leash, walk them and play with them. Depending on the service, I will stay however long you would like me to for house sitting and drop-ins. I will ensure all doors are locked, the space is tidied up, and follow any other directions you may have while house sitting.

Any medical issues or special circumstances? - Are they high/low energy? - What does their daily routine look like? Does this differ when you are gone? - How are they around other animals and people? - What are their favorite toys or activities?
A typical day
I think it is important to ask the owner what the pets favorite toy is. We can play with that, I can bring toys, or we can visit local parks. Whatever you are most comfortable with!

Hi! My name is Elyse. I am a graduate of the University of Missouri - Columbia and currently work for a healthcare company in the St. Louis area, but also love taking care of cats and dogs! I am so excited about the opportunity to take care of your pets! I have had pets all of my life - dogs, cats, hamsters, fish, frogs, you name it! I have 13 years of experience caring for all pets, even those with special needs. My goal is to not only take care of your animals and make sure they are happy and healthy, but to make sure you have ease of mind while you are away. I will take them on walks, administer any kind of medication if needed, play with them, send you check-in texts and photos, and comply with any other requests you may have! I strive to find ways to connect with your pet, whether they are low or high energy. All it takes is patience and maybe a treat :)

Elyse stayed at our house for a week and took care of our Great Pyrenees, and my husband and I feel so lucky to have found her! Louie clearly made a new best friend. I can tell because he’s usually a little mad at us when we get home from traveling…but not this time. He was one happy boy! We came home to a happy dog, a spotless house, and she even watered my herb garden. Elyse is an absolute gem. So everyone else, take a hike…she’s ours! 😉. Just kidding (sort of!). Highly highly recommend!
Elyse was great with our 2 dogs and kept us up to date. We appreciated her help so much
Elyse was great! She showed up early and checked in right away. She sent pics with details of how they were doing. The pups were completely relaxed when we got home - like we never left. The house was exactly like we left it except for the dishes she washed. Will definitely book her again.
Elyse was awesome and super flexible! She made sure my pups were comfortable and taken care of. We enjoyed having her and look forward to seeing her again!
