I grew up with Setters as a child, as an adult I fell in love with terriers. I have owned a fiesty Jack Russell X, a soppy Patterdale Terrier and an independent Lakeland x Border Terrier called Rudi. I am a terrier expericed and confident in managing the more complex terrier as well as the easy going type. I regularly look after my friend's cockapoo, my dad's Irish red setter and my friend's Jack Russell X chi. I am experienced in looking after senior dogs, (medication etc), my dad's IRS has had health problems since he was a puppy and requires ongoing medication as and when.

Elspeth is perfect, couldn’t have asked for a better person for my dog! Lilly was very loved and exercised. I have received many updates (which I have loved) making me feel relaxed and secure knowing what the dog has been up to. Elspeth has answered all my questions and always responded to any messages. Elspeth took Bracken out with two other dogs for a nice long walk and it’s really nice he got the activity/socialisation. Plenty of photos, which was good. He was anxious (he’s not used to being away from home) once back at her place but she used calming sorry and diffusers, which was really good of her.

Both of my dogs love staying with Elspeth, and she treats them incredibly well. Always great with her communication, kind and caring with the dogs, she is also great at giving us ideas and tips that help us continue to training our puppy. We can’t ask for better and would highly recommend Elspeth.
A lovely lady who not only adores animals, but is also extremely knowledgeable. I've the utmost confidence when leaving my dog in her excellent care.
Elsepth will often look after my cockerpoo Marlow while I’m away and Marlow absolutely loves it when he goes to visit her. Not only does he get long walks in the beach but he also gets treated amazingly (and some tasty treats).. Elsepth is an amazing pet owner and can often been seen making new doggy friends when she’s out and about.. she has a great passion for Dogs and would have a farm of them if she could 😊… I always feel safe and happy knowing that she is looking after Marlow as I know he will be so very well looked after.

Schedule
I work from home, but sometimes I either have to be in the office or out on visits. My diary is always up to date to reflect my work schedule. I can take two dogs from the same household when boarding & daycare. I sometimes have my dad's dog whose a very polite Irish red setter for daycare or my friend's neutered female dog. My own dog is a very friendly and confident little chap.

Safety, trust & environment
I own my flat, in a quiet residential area, I have a secure private entrance and a secure courtyard garden with 6ft+ high walls, only accessed via the kitchen door. Your dog will be treated as I treat my dog, lots of love, cuddles, treats (if allowed), cared for, if we end up on a muddy walk I'll bath and brush (warm shower & dog shampoo & conditioner) if you have a roller we will do the sniff test. IYKYK. I use a calming pet plug in, to ease your dog's anxiety after being left and depending on what time they get dropped off we will go for a walk to explore & sniff...as a tired dog is a happy dog. If it's fireworks season then I will always take them out late afternoon for decent walk, the flat is a calm and safe space, classical music (proven to help them to relax) the garden is 100% secure for the last pre bed last wees.
Pets
A typical day
Rudi and I are out the flat between 7.30-8am we have a specific morning route where Rudi takes every opportunity to check his messages and to leave his own, we sometimes see friends in the morning. If you have a high energy dog, we will go down the common or the beach to run off that morning energy. As I WFH, Rudi spends the day chilling, either in the front garden or on the back of the sofa watching the world go by. We take an hour for lunch and will either go on another sniff walk or if I have some extra time up the common/beach for a some off or on lead looning about. (Depending on your preferences) We have lots of toys to boredom bust, snuffle balls, Kongs and licky mats I am within a 20min walk from Southsea common and come the weekend Rudi and I are out for a good 2-4hrs walking and meeting new dogs. During the week and dependant on my WFH schedule, Rudi and I are out on our sniff walks morning & lunch and evening unless we are down the common/sea defense/beach If you book a walk I can only walk sat and sun, but I can guarantee your dog will be out for at least 60mins and up to 2hrs (incredibly good value 😆) the calendar will always reflect my availability.
