I’ve grown up around dogs my whole life, so caring for them is second nature to me. Right now, I have my dog Alfie, a complete bundle of energy who needs tons of walks, fetch, and playtime to tire him out. I also recently lost my older dog, so I deeply understand the extra patience, slow walks, and gentle care that senior dogs need. From high energy dogs to quiet seniors, I’ll treat your dog just like my own :)

The house I live in is very big, we usually leave a door open but for first visitors I would go out into garden with their lead on to make sure they know how to get back to the house. I would be happy to let them off the lead and follow them around so they don’t get lost. In the owners home I would always take them out on a lead and make sure they feel safe and the environment is safe before letting them off.

I hired this sitter because my daughter needed to complete an Art Photography project in London for her GCSEs, and we needed someone reliable to care for our puppy while we were away. Unfortunately, I received several messages from the sitter beforehand which made me increasingly concerned about her confidence in caring for our puppy. By the day before, I had become so concerned that I told friends I felt she might let us down. At approximately 2am, I then received a message from the sitter explaining that her mum was in hospital and asking us to arrange alternative care. I completely understand that family emergencies can happen and that this was outside of her control. However, the extremely late notice left us in a very difficult position and caused considerable stress, particularly as we had made arrangements around my daughter's GCSE photography project. While I have sympathy for her situation, I feel the communication beforehand and the timing of the cancellation were disappointing. When arranging pet care, particularly when travel and important commitments are involved, reliability and confidence are extremely important.

Schedule
Since I work on a small remote project from home, my schedule is completely flexible. I don't have fixed office hours, which means I have all the time in the world to give your dogs the care, attention, and company they need, especially if you're away on holiday and want them to feel comfortable at home! I’m already out walking my energetic dog Alfie for 2 to 3 hours every day (split into a couple of walks, usually early morning and late evening during hot weather, with plenty of indoor playtime in between). I also have my own car, so traveling to nearby areas or taking your dog to nice walking spots is no problem at all.
