Pet care experience

Your Pet’s Second Best Friend !

I don’t just love dogs , I live for them. I have a toy poodle who is my whole world, and I treat every dog I care for like they’re part of my own family. Whether it’s a playful puppy full of energy or a gentle senior who needs patience and care, I give each pet the love, safety, and attention they deserve. I’m experienced with small breeds, understand dog behavior, and genuinely connect with every pup I meet. Your dog won’t just be watched , they’ll be loved like my own.

Did a great job watching Rudy, and made me feel very confident since he was a little sick when I dropped him off.

Elmira kept my dog happy and healthy while I was out. She was super kind and had a nice yard for my dog to run in.

Louie was a very happy boy, he loved being on Elmira's mom's lap. It was a perfect environment for Louie, calm and quiet.

Safety, trust & environment

Whether caring for pets in my home or yours, their safety, comfort, and happiness are my top priorities. I create a calm, clean, and pet-friendly environment with no hazards, plenty of space, and lots of love. I follow all care instructions carefully, from feeding and medication to walk routines and bedtime habits. I always keep pets supervised, especially in new environments, and I take time to earn their trust through patience, positive energy, and kindness. Your pet will feel safe, loved, and right at home with me.

A typical day

I love making sure pets are happy, active, and comfortable while their owners are away! Some fun activities I enjoy doing with the pets I watch include: • Playtime tailored to their personality fetch, tug-of-war, chase, or gentle indoor play if they’re more laid-back. • Walks and outdoor adventures whether it’s a short neighborhood stroll or a longer nature walk (with the owner’s permission), I make sure they get fresh air and exercise. • Training or mental stimulation games I use treats and toys to keep their minds engaged with simple tricks or puzzle toys. • Cuddles and calm time for pets who prefer snuggles or just someone nearby, I make sure they feel safe and loved. • Photo updates I always send cute pictures to keep pet parents connected and assured. I adjust everything based on the pet’s age, energy level, and health needs, making sure they’re well cared for and having a great time!

It’s very important for me to get to know each pet’s unique needs and personality before sitting. Here are a few things I always like to know in advance: • Health & Medical Needs Any allergies, medications, or special health conditions (like arthritis, seizures, or anxiety). • Feeding Schedule & Diet What they eat, how much, and when plus any treats or food restrictions. • Behavior & Temperament Are they shy, playful, protective, or anxious around new people or other animals? • Triggers or Fears Loud noises, other pets, strangers, car rides, etc. • Daily Routine Walks, bathroom breaks, nap times, or any specific rituals they’re used to. • Commands or Training Cues Words or hand signals they respond to. • Emergency Contacts & Vet Info Just in case something unexpected comes up. Knowing all this helps me give them the best, safest care possible and ensures they stay happy and relaxed while you’re away.
Each sitter joining Rover needs to pass a background check. And by booking on Rover, you can get photo & message updates, 24/7 support, and reimbursement for eligible vet care.
