Sausage Specialist
I’m a genuine dachshund enthusiast with extensive hands-on experience caring for sausage dogs of different ages, personalities and confidence levels. Nearly all of my Rover bookings so far have been dachshunds, and I also regularly look after my mum’s two miniature dachshunds (one who's a little pup!) including a as well as my girlfriend Holly’s family dachshund. This experience has given me a good understanding of the breed’s particular character and needs: their affectionate nature, stubborn streaks, tendency to become vocal or anxious, and the importance of patient, positive handling. I’m also conscious of protecting their backs and will always follow an owner’s instructions regarding stairs, jumping, exercise and any previous IVDD concerns. I work from home, so dogs staying with me receive plenty of company, attention, toilet breaks and play throughout the day. Holly is also often around during evenings and weekends to provide additional cuddles and care. We live in a secure flat near Hampstead Heath, giving us access to excellent local walks tailored to each dog’s age, fitness and usual routine. Although dachshunds have become my speciality (and I’m always particularly excited to meet another sausage!!), I've grew up with Labradors and have experience caring for several other breeds too. All friendly, suitable dogs are welcome. I’m available for daycare, boarding, walks, drop-in visits and house sitting. I’ll treat your dog as though they were my own and provide regular photos and updates throughout their stay.

Elliot was fantastic with Oscar! He came to our home for the morning and took great care of him. Elliot was friendly, reliable and clearly very caring, and it was lovely to know Oscar was happy and comfortable at home. We would definitely recommend Elliot and would happily have him look after Oscar again!

Schedule
I work from home throughout the week, so I can provide plenty of company, attention, playtime and regular toilet breaks during the day. My schedule is flexible, allowing me to accommodate walks, drop-in visits and overnight stays on both weekdays and weekends. My girlfriend, Holly, is also often around during evenings and weekends to provide some extra attention and cuddles.

Safety, trust & environment
I always follow each dog’s usual feeding, walking and sleeping routine, including any instructions provided by their owner. Dogs staying with us will receive plenty of supervision and will never be left on the balcony unattended. We have a relatively small flat without a garden, so I’ll make sure they receive regular toilet breaks and walks, with Hampstead Heath nearby for longer adventures. In an owner’s home, I’ll treat both their dog and property with care, keep everything secure and provide regular photo updates for reassurance.
A typical day
As I work from home, your dog will have plenty of company throughout the day. We’ll enjoy regular toilet breaks, playtime and walks around the local area, with longer adventures on Hampstead Heath where appropriate. I’ll tailor the day to your dog’s usual routine, energy levels and personality, including plenty of rest, attention and cuddles.
