Home away from home-for Happy Pups
We’ve always had dogs and currently have three rescue pups of our own. Over the years we’ve cared for dogs with all kinds of personalities, from confident social butterflies to dogs that need a little more time to warm up. We know every dog is different and do our best to make them feel comfortable, safe, and part of the family while they’re with us.

I've known Danica and Elliott since they adopted their first rescue dog, Figs, in 2016. I've seen the care, attention and love they've lavished on him and their subsequent 2 rescues, Willow and Papaya. I've also seen how well behaved their dogs are because of their training and daily walks/hikes. If I lived on Vancouver Island, I would have no hesitations in having my dog looked after by Elliott and Danica because I know, with absolute certainty, my dog would be well-loved and well-looked after and I trust them implicitly.
I was originally very nervous about having someone else watch my dog, but Danica and Elliott completely put my mind at ease. They’ve looked after my dog several times, and every experience has been wonderful. They treated her like one of their own and made sure she felt comfortable, loved, and cared for. One thing I especially appreciated was the regular photo updates, they always kept me informed and reassured while I was away. Their dogs also adored mine (vice versa) and they all got along so well, and it was clear she was having an amazing time. I even sometimes think my dog gets more excited to see them than she does me! Both Danica and Elliott are trustworthy and genuinely caring. I would not hesitate to leave my dog with them again and highly recommend them to anyone looking for reliable, loving pet care.
Elliott (and partner) are the most caring and loving dog owners I know! Any pet would be lucky to be watched by them - they are fun, super aware, positive and loving. We have two dogs that they have spent time with and I would gladly leave my dogs with them again in the future.
Danica and Elliott provided exceptional care for our dogs and treated them like part of the family. They were attentive, communicative, and genuinely caring, ensuring our pup felt comfortable, loved, and safe throughout their stay. It was clear from the updates and photos that our dogs were having a wonderful time. We came home to happy, relaxed pups and would not hesitate to trust Danica and Elliott again. Highly recommended!
Elliott and Danica were absolutely amazing with our dog, Lucy. From our first meeting, it was clear that they are true 'dog people' and VERY passionate about what they do, which immediately put us at ease. Leaving Lucy behind can be stressful, but knowing she was in their care gave us such peace of mind. They provided daily updates, photos, and videos, so we knew Lucy was having just as much fun on her own vacation as we were—going on hikes, swimming, and exploring. She was having such a blast that we were honestly worried she wouldn’t want to come home! It’s clear they have extensive experience with dogs; during our trial session, we saw firsthand how the other dogs truly adored and respected them. They are genuine, kind, and treated Lucy like one of their own. We are so happy to have found them and will definitely be booking with them again for our next trip!

Schedule
One of us works from home during the week, and we’re both around most weekends. That means lots of company, potty breaks, outdoor time, play, and cuddles throughout the day.

Safety, trust & environment
We live on a fully fenced half-acre property with plenty of space to run, play, sniff, and explore. Our home is kennel-free, and dogs are welcome to make themselves comfortable wherever they like. We treat every dog as if they were our own. We are certified in Level 1 Dog CPR and First Aid, and all dogs staying with us must be current on their vaccinations to help ensure a safe environment for everyone.

A typical day
Our days revolve around the dogs. Mornings start with breakfast and outdoor time, followed by walks, playtime, naps, and lots of hanging out together. Dogs have plenty of opportunities to run, play, sniff, explore, and relax throughout the day. By the evening, everyone’s usually tired out and happy after a fun day with friends
