On my part we’ll be having a chill and calm environment with lots of playing :) Let me know if there’s any food allergies at all! And we if there’s any special requirements around treats!

A typical day

Depending on the energy of your dog, we can get out for first wee before 7am followed by breakfast! When we get home we can have some play time and then it’s time for me to start work! Lunchtime is usually around 11:30-12:30 so we can head out for some good smells and walks along the river near my house which is about a 45/50 minute loop! Back to work for me, but we can interrupt for some play time and cuddles if needed. I finish around 3/4 so we can head out up to the dog park to go off lead and play some fetch or play with other dogs to burn off some energy. If the dog park isn’t the best spot for your dog, we can head out to a trail near by to get a good walk in. By the time we get back it’s probably dinner time, so we’ll eat and have some more playtime and cuddle up on the sofa. Before bedtime we can pop out for one last quick walk before bed to make sure everyone is happy in the night.

Pet care experience

We moved to Fernie in November and have been dog sitting since and absolutely love it. Sam and myself like to dedicate our time to just your pooch to keep them relaxed and having fun whilst you’re away. We like to have an atmosphere in the house where your dogs feel super comfortable and cared for. I’ve lived with housemates dogs for the last few years before moving to Fernie (3 years in London and 2 years in Whistler) and miss getting out for walks and having some pupper play time. We put a lot of time in with training Sam’s Mums rescue dog who had to be treated very gently and patiently when she arrived from Romania so we’re used to dogs with extra needs! We’re not quite ready to commit to getting our own dog at the moment, which is the reason we genuinely enjoy looking after yours 😊 I work Monday to Friday and have weekends off. I’m working from home during the day so can take the dog out before work, at lunch times and afterwork. We’re right next to trail that walks along the river so can easily get out for some good walks and play in the park.

We're so happy with our experience using Ellie and Sam through Rover. They watched over our 6 month old pup in our own home for a number of nights. After a quick meet and greet before leaving we knew they were trustworthy people, and that Georgia was going to be in safe hands. We received numerous updates and photos while we were away and no questions or requests were to much of a bother. Georgia is a happy girl and we have some amazing photos for keeps now! Thankyou Ellie and Sam!

Ellie is so amazing. She is caring, thoughtful and very attentive. Luna absolutely loves her and we feel very comfortable leaving Luna in her care. Would absolutely recommend to anyone looking for pet care while away.
