Experienced sitter with a pet-free family home
I’ve had a lot of experience with pets, including caring for my senior, disabled dog; looking after a litter of kittens; caring for an anxious dog and small animals too. I have been pet sitting through apps like this one for the past three years I’m currently back in the UK living with my parents after living in NZ and Australia for a few years. I have a driving licence but would prefer pets to be near the Didsbury area as I don’t own a car at the moment 🙂 My family dog, Jess, sadly passed away at the age of almost 17 in January. She required medication, a special diet and frequent short walks with lots of rest and water; so I have a lot of experience in caring for a very slow and elderly dog with particular needs, although I can also happily look after highly energetic dogs!

We needed a last minute one night dog sit, and Ellie was thankfully available. She was very accommodating, and came to meet us and Jeff at short notice. Her communication was great and even though it was only 1 day, we got plenty of updates. Jeff seemed very happy when we got home, and not at all fazed by being left with a new person. We will definitely be asking her back again.
Ellie is excellent. She’s kind, responsive and our dog had a great time with her. Nothing but good things to say about Ellie. Thanks for helping us out!
Our cocker spaniel had the best time with Ellie, would definitely recommend. Great communication, and kept us up to date with photos throughout the week. Ellie is fab!
Cleo our small Labradoodle had a lovely break with Ellie - i was sent pictures and updates on how she was settling in and Ellie did everything to make it a home from home, and took Cleo’s quirks (shoe and food theft in particular) in her stride! I would highly recommend.
Ellie was fabulous with our boy Nero. She looked after him for a week during the heatwave and took lots of extra precautions to keep him happy and safe. We felt very secure in knowing he was cared for by Ellie and her family. Nero being big and strong was no issues for Ellie, who seemed completely unphased and in control. She also made extra plans for us to pickup Nero early. Would absolutely recommend her.
Rudy had a great time with Ellie. Ellie communicated with us so well and made the process super easy- I felt really comfortable that he was well looked after!

I have no pets in my parents house at this time because our elderly dog passed away this year, therefore we could happily care for a pet in our house, which has a fully fenced and dog proof back yard
A typical day
I love exploring new places and frequently walk around the River Mersey area, Didsbury Park and Marie Louise Gardens. I’m happy to throw balls, frisbees and sticks for dogs or to even run with them!
