Availability
I’m currently only taking one university course, which gives me a very flexible schedule. I’m available for walks, drop-ins, and longer stays, and I’m happy to coordinate around your pet’s usual routine.

About Ellie M.
Safety, trust & environment
Wherever I’m caring for your pet, I prioritize safety and routine. I carefully follow your instructions, house rules, feeding schedules, and any specific care requirements. I’ll always ask questions if something is unclear because consistency is important for animals. I understand that trusting someone with your pet is a big decision, and I treat that responsibility seriously.
Information Ellie M. would like to know about your pet
Please let me know about your pet’s routine, personality, quirks, and any special needs. For example, if your dog has specific triggers on walks, or if your cat only drinks from running water. The more I know, the better I can mirror their normal environment and keep them happy and stress-free. If medication or special care is required, I’m happy to discuss details in advance. I’ll always clarify anything I’m unsure about to ensure your pet receives the same level of care they’re used to.
A typical day
For dogs, a typical day includes structured walks, lots of sniff time, and play that matches their energy level. I love incorporating both physical activity and mental stimulation, whether that’s exploring a nearby park, practicing basic commands, or playing engaging games. For cats, I focus on gentle interaction, enrichment, and respecting their boundaries. Some cats want lots of play, others prefer quiet companionship. I adjust to what makes them feel most comfortable.

Pet care experience
I’ve been surrounded by animals my whole life. Most of my close friends growing up had dogs, so I spent years helping walk, feed, and care for dogs of all sizes and temperaments. I’m very comfortable with big dogs, energetic puppies, and reactive dogs who need a calm, confident presence. I also have extensive experience with cats. I had my own cat for 10 years and cared for him through every life stage, including his senior years. I’ve also cat-sat for friends, including elderly cats who needed extra patience and attention. What sets me apart is my ability to read animal body language and adapt to their personality. Some pets need structure and exercise, others need gentleness and reassurance. I aim to create a calm, safe environment where your pet feels secure and understood. I’m comfortable administering oral medications and caring for senior pets. I take routines seriously and will always follow your instructions closely so your pet’s day feels consistent and familiar.
