Hello, I grew up with dogs and very interested in getting my own some day. Hoping to gain more experience with pet care in the New York City area and get some much needed time with puppers! Primarily I'm looking for dog walking and boarding. I've walked my own dog and friends' dogs since I was a kid and one of my favorite activities was walking my own dog around the neighborhood. I've never been paid to walk dogs but I know how to keep them in line while also watching for signs of fatigue. I'm also available for house visits and house sitting. The days available are more flexible so please don't hesitate to be in contact! I have house sat for family friends as well as taken in friends' dogs for overnight care. Our apartment is dog friendly and we have a park right next to us so easy to spend a lot of time outside. Available to dog walk after 6 any day and board weekends. Pebby has been hesitant to leave the apartment building with a dog walker, but Ellie was so great with Pebby, and totally won her trust after just one walk! Whereas other walkers have sometimes struggled with Pebby not wanting to stray far from home, Ellie was patient and encouraging with Pebby and got Pebby excited to walk with her by walk #2! Ellie was super prompt, great about asking questions when she first met Pebby and always kept me updated on how the walks went. Plus (bonus points!!) she took cute photos of Pebby, which I really appreciated. I’ll definitely be going to Ellie for my future dog care needs!
Animals love Ellie! She's gentle and kind with older ones as well as energetic and playful with ones that require more activity. She's grown up with animals and knows how to put them at ease in any situation. Ellie is very responsible, you can count on her to arrive on time and is very trustworthy. She's very affectionate and is a natural care giver. Your pet will have excellent care with Ellie!

I work 9-6 in midtown so after 6 on weekdays and weekends is easiest for me. Board your pet with me for a weekend getaway!

A typical day
I like to wake up early and have a structured routine in the morning. I love spending time in the park near my house or walking around Brooklyn. Easily can go 5-7 miles on a walk!
