Pet care experience

Multiple Pets? No Additional Fees!

While I’m new to offering pet-care services through Rover, I bring more than 12 years of hands-on animal-care experience. I’ve fostered more than 100 rescue animals, caring for them in my home until they were ready for adoption. I’ve also worked as a dog trainer with clients referred through Pet Supermarket locations in Parkland, Boca Raton, and Miami. My volunteer experience includes the South Florida Wildlife Center, Broward County Animal Care, a local guinea pig rescue, and several cat rescues. Through fostering and volunteer work, I’ve cared for animals of different ages and with a wide range of needs, including neonatal kittens and animals requiring medical care. I have experience administering oral medications and subcutaneous fluids. I also care for my own cat with epilepsy and manage her medication schedule and daily routine. I have a 75-pound Alaskan Malamute, so I’m comfortable caring for and handling larger dogs. I’m also familiar with Litter-Robot systems, automatic feeders, smart collars, and other pet technology.

Schedule

Simple, Clear Pricing For drop-in visits, pricing is based on the length of the visit, not the number of pets. All household pets are included at no additional charge as long as their care can comfortably be completed within the selected 30- or 60-minute visit. 30-minute drop-in: $10 60-minute drop-in: $20 30-minute dog walk: $10 Rover applies its standard 11% booking fee at checkout. I’m currently offering introductory rates while I build my client base and reviews on Rover. I’m a University of Florida graduate and work from home as a forensic accountant, which gives me flexibility to schedule visits throughout the day. My accounting work depends on accuracy and discretion, which are equally important when caring for someone’s pets and home. As a Rover client myself, I understand how important it is to feel comfortable and informed when someone else is caring for your pets.

Safety, trust & environment

Before your first booking, we can meet to review your pets’ routines, care instructions, supplies, and home access. During each visit, I’ll follow the instructions we discussed and use the scheduled time for the care you requested. Depending on your pets’ routines, this may include meals, fresh water, medication, litter or enclosure care, bathroom breaks, walking, playtime, and companionship. After each visit, I’ll send an update with photos, confirm that the requested care was completed, and let you know if I noticed anything unusual. For walks, I’ll follow your instructions regarding equipment, pace, and interactions with other animals. For cat boarding, we’ll review the routine and communication schedule before drop-off. I’ll secure your home and reset any alarm or security system according to your instructions before leaving.

Pets

A typical day

For drop-in visits, I’ll begin with the care your pet needs, such as feeding, fresh water, medication, litter or enclosure care, and bathroom breaks. Once those tasks are complete, I’ll use the remaining time for the activities and attention you prefer. For dogs, that might mean taking a walk, playing a favorite game, or simply keeping them company on the couch. I’ll follow their usual routine and your instructions. For cats, we might play with wand toys, spend time together by a favorite window, or put on a cat TV show. I also understand that some cats prefer less interaction. I’m happy to give them space while remaining nearby so they still have company and I can make sure they are doing well. For other pets, I’ll follow the handling, play, and enrichment routine they already know. I won’t force interaction and will let each pet’s comfort level guide our time together.

Cats
Ellie can host up to 3 pets per night
Please tell me about every pet in your household, including their normal routine, feeding instructions, medications, and comfort level with new people. I’d also like to know about any medical conditions, allergies, fears, escape behavior, or reactions to other animals that could affect their care. For dogs, please include their leash habits and anything I should expect during walks. Please let me know where supplies are kept and provide any necessary veterinary, emergency-contact, home-access, or security-system information. For drop-in visits, we’ll review what you would like completed and determine whether a 30- or 60-minute visit will comfortably cover everyone’s care.
Each sitter joining Rover needs to pass a background check. And by booking on Rover, you can get photo & message updates, 24/7 support, and reimbursement for eligible vet care.
