I am currently employed full-time at a nonprofit association in DC, but I work from home on Monday's and Friday's. This allows those days to be more flexible. I would love to have a furry companion on my walks after work or during my lunch break on M/F.

Over the years, I have learned that I am best prepared if I know a bit about your dog before we meet. In 2021, my family adopted a shelter puppy and since then, we have learned so much about dog psychology: how genetics and hormones play a massive role in behavior, strategies for encouraging non-treat-motivated dogs, and the value of having to work hard to gain their trust. Dogs are complex little creatures so understanding their quirks, what motivates them, what may trigger them, etc helps ensure that your pet and I have the best time together! :) I grew up with medium to big dogs and have cared for them from puppyhood through their golden years so big dogs and senior dogs have a special place in my heart.
A typical day
I looove long walks! We can walk in my neighborhood or yours, explore nature, visit a dog park, whatever your preference is! I am also happy to just spend time with your pup, whatever that looks like for them. Your dog's personality and needs will determine the specifics of our time together. I love documenting our time together so there is a high likelihood that you will be sent photos of your dog being a gorgeous lil model!

Pet care experience
Hi there! I’m a lifelong animal lover who has always shared my home with at least one dog. Caring for pets has been second nature to me since childhood, and I truly enjoy getting to know each animal’s unique personality. From 2019–2022, I worked seasonally at a dog daycare/boarding/grooming facility, where I cared for dogs of all sizes and ages with a wide range of needs. My experience includes supervising group play with up to 15 dogs, maintaining clean and safe play areas, and providing attentive, individualized care. Lately, I have enjoyed spending time walking dogs (off Rover) and volunteering at the Fairfax Humane Society. Communication is crucial, especially when it comes to your furry family member, so I enjoy keeping pet parents updated with photos, messages, and honest check-ins to build trust and peace of mind while you’re away. I’m endlessly curious and love learning more about animals, and I’ll treat your pet like one of my own, keeping them safe, happy, and loved every step of the way!
