Your dogs home from home!
Our experience with dogs 🐾 Ellie has always had dogs and has experience with a wide range of breeds, including rescue dogs with different backgrounds and needs. She also set up her own rescue, Praxie’s Promise, through which she has helped rehome hundreds of dogs. She is Canine First Aid trained and has a real understanding of how important it is to provide dogs with patience, care and a safe, loving environment. Gethin has always grown up around pets and has plenty of experience caring for dogs. Over the years, we have regularly looked after friends’ dogs, from walks and day-to-day care to having them stay with us while they're on holiday. Between us, we have a great deal of experience with dogs of different personalities, breeds and needs, and we want every dog staying with us to feel comfortable, settled and part of the family.

A big thankyou to Ellie & Gethin for looking after William for us. William thoroughly enjoyed himself, lots of walks, new playmates (thankyou Chevy and Izzy) and William was so made to feel at home. We were totally at ease as soon as we met Ellie & Gethin and very happy to leave William with them. It was the first time we have left William with anyone else and it was the first time we have used Rover dog sitting services, so glad we found Ellie & Gethin. It got us out of a hole whilst we were on our holiday as we wouldnt have been able to go on our dayout (no dogs allowed). Already planning next years holiday in the Dales, and sure to be seeing Ellie & Gethin again.
Ellie and Gethin looked after my pup for the day and they were not only so accommodating and helpful, but Yo-yo was so well looked after and I got the cutest and funniest pictures from their day out. Yo-yo is a very high energy dog and when I picked her up she was so happy, fulfilled and tired in the best way! They played, and walked and cuddled. I couldn’t recommend them more!
Ellie and Gethin were amazing with both my dogs. I used them for doggy day care whilst visiting the area and attending an event for the day. They took the time to make sure that both the dogs and I were at ease and comfortable before I left them and discussed the dogs needs. They updated me during the day and I would highly recommended them and use them if I were visiting the area again.
Ellie and Gethin are amazing. Izzy has loved spending time with them. Loads of walking and ball games outside. Fantastic updates, can't recommend them highly enough. Thank you guys.
Chloe had an amazing time with Ellie and Gethin and even made new doggy friends. Ellie and Gethin couldn’t have done enough for her and it was so nice knowing she was happy and enjoying herself. Chloe will be going back every week, we’re really happy we’ve found someone she’s comfortable with.
Ellie is so good with Annie. My dog is nervous and Ellie listened and made sure Annie was comfortable. She has a lot of experience so I always feel very comfortable leaving Annie with her. It’s obvious how much she loves dogs. She communicates well too. I would highly recommend her.

Schedule
We both work shifts, but Gethin works from home full-time, so there will always be someone around to care for your dog and provide company throughout the day. Your dog won’t be left alone for long periods and will have plenty of attention, affection and company while staying with us. We’re both active people and enjoy getting out for walks, so we’re happy to provide as much exercise and outdoor time as your dog needs, whether that’s relaxed walks or something more energetic. We are both very flexible and happy to fit into your dogs schedule, whatever they need! We also have our own dog, Chevy, who is 11 years old and very calm and friendly. He is very adaptable to all kinds of dog personalities and is used to being around dogs with different temperaments and energy levels. We’ll make sure every dog staying with us gets the attention, exercise and care they need, while also giving them the space and time to settle in and feel comfortable.

Safety, trust & environment
Your dog’s safety and wellbeing will always be our priority. We have a secure, dog-friendly home with a fully enclosed 5ft fenced garden, giving dogs safe access to fresh air and outdoor space throughout the day whenever they need it. As Gethin works from home, there will usually be someone around throughout the day, meaning dogs won’t be left alone for long periods. With Ellie’s extensive experience caring for and rehoming dogs, including rescue dogs with a variety of personalities you can feel confident that your dog is in experienced and caring hands. We have kept our own dogs safe for 20+ years and your dogs will be looked after like one of our own. We’ll introduce dogs to Chevy carefully and at their own pace. We’re happy to follow your dog’s usual routine as closely as possible and will keep you updated during their stay, so you can relax knowing they’re happy, safe and well cared for.
