I have a Psychology degree from UT and am planning to start a Master's program in Counseling in Fall of 2027. My long-term career goal is to continue to care for animals while becoming a licensed therapist providing animal-assisted therapy. So in the meantime, this is my full-time job! 😄 I feel so lucky that I get to care for sweet animals while I save up money to pay for school.

Before any bookings, we will need to schedule a free Meet & Greet where I will get to know both you and your pet(s) to ensure it is a good match for everyone! We will also discuss your pet's health and behavioral needs, answer any questions you may have, and fill out some basic paperwork to ensure I have all the information I need to provide your pets with the best possible care.

I am open to caring for any breed of dog, and I do not discriminate based on so-called "aggressiveness" stereotypes. I do require that my clients fill out fairly standard paperwork (emergency contacts/protocol, veterinarian preferences, health/behavior concerns, etc.) which can be completed at the Meet & Greet.
A typical day
For both dogs and cats, my goal is always to cater the experience to you and your pets' preferences. For dogs, I am able to provide long or short walks, playing fetch in your backyard (if applicable), and/or lots of cuddles and ear scratching between potty breaks! For cats, I can provide whatever combination of snuggle time and playtime you and the kitty would like!

My name is Ellie, and I'm an experienced, reliable, and compassionate pet caregiver who adores animals! Austin and Kansas City have been my two hometowns throughout my life, so I am so excited to have just moved back to Cedar Park to live near my family! I have 6 years of professional experience working at two large-scale Doggie Daycare & Boarding facilities - one in Austin and one in Kansas City. I have been both a General Manager and a Director of Pet Services at these facilities, and I have ample experience with pet health, dog socialization, and behavior. I have handled dogs with a huge variety of backgrounds and special needs. I pride myself on my patience and willingness to provide personalized care dependent on the personality of each animal. I worked at a nature center in Kansas where I cared for a whole host of reptiles, amphibians, and mammals, and ensured guests of all ages had a fun, educational experience. And I absolutely ADORE cats and have had them as pets for my entire life. 🩷 I have been an independent pet sitter for nearly two decades, and I volunteered for years at Animal Haven (now Great Plains SPCA) and Austin Pets Alive! animal shelters. Animals have always brought me immense joy. As a kid, I held lemonade stands to raise money for the local animal shelter, and I have always had pets in my life. I was nervous about hiring a stranger to come into my home, and to be responsible for my babies. But from the moment Ellie came over and met all of us, all my fears were gone. She’s SO professional and was very thorough about my dog’s history, medical conditions etc. to make sure she knew exactly what we needed. My dogs ADORED her, and she sent me the greatest updates and photos that I felt much better about having to leave them. I highly recommend Ellie and will be using her for all my travel needs. 5 stars isn’t enough!
Ellie was fantastic with my two doodles. She was dependable, caring, and kept me updated throughout their stay with messages and photos. It was obvious they were well cared for and received plenty of attention. I came home to two happy, relaxed dogs, which says everything. I highly recommend Ellie to anyone looking for a trustworthy and compassionate Rover sitter, and I will definitely book with her again!
Ellie was the most wonderful kitty sitter ever! She kept me updated and informed especially with one of my kitty’s health issues (new kitten stuff). I got full length and detailed updates after every visit with pictures and sometimes videos of them playing! Ellie definitely went above and beyond with keeping the home clean when the kitties made messes, maintaining one of the kitty’s quarantine and even picking up a new medication from the vet. I felt that my babies were in good hands with someone who truly adored them! I was a little nervous since I booked her only a couple days before but she responded very promptly and made sure to do a meet and greet. Overall fantastic person and even better kitty sitter!
Ellie provided amazing care for our fur kids! We knew she would be kind, caring, and attentive to detail when she arrived to the meet-and-greet with a full clipboard to document all the needs and quirks of our cats. She provided great updates, pics, and ensured both cats were cared for in their own special way. We trust Ellie to be in our home and with our animals and have already booked her for another stay!
