In addition to owning cats since childhood, I've fostered about 250 cats and kittens over the past 15 years since becoming deeply involved in rescue. I'm on the foster teams of both Anjellicle Cats Rescue and Little Wanderers- two of NYC's largest and most respected rescue orgs. I have much experience in administering both oral and intramuscular meds and also subQ fluids. I've done cat sitting/cat care for friends, family, adopters of former foster cats/ kittens and neighbors for the last 25 or so years and can provide references.

I'm conscientious about and committed to carrying out my clients' care instructions and wishes for their furbabies during their time away. I know from my own experience that it's stressful to leave one's pets in the care of others and I go out of my way to ease their minds that their pets are loved and well cared for.

Ellen is SUPER communicative and always quick to send fantastic pics and updates! She also handled administering medication to our cat while we were away. Knowing Ellen was caring for our cats helped us feel less anxious and worried while we were traveling.
Ellen did such a great job with our nervous boy. She cleaned up more than I expected and sat with him to try to calm his nerves. She sent lots of pictures and kept us updated. I would definitely recommend Ellen to anyone looking for a thorough and kind sitter.

Ellen was great! She met my cat and I before her first visit. She asked good questions and made sure to understand his needs. She made visits as scheduled and sent me photos. My kitty and I were happy with her visits!
Ellen is an amazing sitter and person. This was my first time using the Rover service. Please rest assured that she is top notch and your furry loved one(s) is/are in capable hands. She has an incredible knowledge of cats and a tenderness that was evident from the first meetup. Ellen's strongest point is her communication. She responds to messages promptly. While away I received photo and video updates routinely, which really put me at ease. I'm sure every pet owner worries while away. Ellen's photo and video messages really helps with this process. It was nice watching my cat happy and purring in her care. Ellen left my home exactly how I left it, spotless. She followed all our requests. And the key handoffs were a breeze. Next time I need a sitter she will be the first person I ask. So you should do the same (as long as it doesn't conflict when my Tony needs her services, hahaha). Ellen, thanks again.

I'm self employed and am able/ have always been able to tailor my work schedule around cat care responsibilities. I'm also excellent at time management.
