Information Ellen R. would like to know about your pet

Before caring for any dog, it's really helpful for us to understand their individual needs and routines. We like to know about their temperament, energy levels, likes and dislikes, and how they get along with other dogs. It's also important for us to be aware of any medical conditions, allergies, dietary requirements, or medications they may need. We also ask about their daily routine—feeding times, walking habits, sleeping arrangements, and any training cues or behaviours we should reinforce. If they’re staying overnight, we do ask that dogs are crate trained for their comfort and safety. The more we know ahead of time, the better we can make sure your pet feels happy, secure, and right at home with us.

A typical day

A typical day with us is all about making sure your dog feels safe, loved, and part of the family. We start the day with a gentle morning walk—perfect for stretching legs and enjoying the fresh countryside air. Depending on your dog’s age and energy levels, we’ll tailor their exercise with anything from peaceful sniffy strolls to more adventurous trail walks. Back home, there’s plenty of time for play in our secure garden, enrichment games, or just relaxing in a cozy spot indoors with lots of fuss and attention. We love interactive time, whether it’s a game of fetch, basic training reinforcement, or a quiet cuddle session. Because we work different shifts, there’s always someone here, making sure your dog is never alone for long. If your dog stays overnight, we keep their evening routine calm and familiar, with a final comfort break before settling them into their crate for a restful night’s sleep. Every day is filled with care, comfort, and fun—and tailored to suit each dog’s unique personality and needs.

Pet care experience

We're a devoted couple with over 30 years of experience in caring for, walking, and training dogs of all breeds and temperaments. Dogs have always been at the heart of our home, and we treat every furry guest as one of our own. Over the years, we’ve had the joy of raising and nurturing two beautiful litters of puppies—each one receiving the highest level of care, socialisation, and love before heading off to their forever homes. To this day, we remain in close contact with every one of their new families, receiving regular updates and photos, even five years later. It’s these long-lasting relationships and heartfelt connections that reflect the level of care and commitment we bring to every dog we look after. Whether it’s a playful puppy or a wise senior, we create a calm, structured, and loving environment where your dog can feel safe, relaxed, and truly at home.
