I have taken care of both dogs and cats for most of my life with the years of experience being pets - specifically dogs - that other people own, not my own. I have had the pleasurable experience of being a cat owner for the majority of my life and am incredibly confident in making sure they are all fed and looked after. As a dog/cat/house sitter I thrill in looking after furry friends. One of my favourite hobbies is walking so you can be sure that I'd find exercising your pooch a pleasure! There's also nothing I love more than curling up with a good book alongside a pet or two. In my house sitting history I have diligently looked after gardens and houseplants - watering, weeding and even things like pruning lavender and tomatoes. I have even helped do personal projects such as documenting house-based documents like deeds and marriage certificates for the owner.

Safety, trust & environment
As I am not offering boarding, only pet-sitting I adhere to the rules given to me by the owner in regards to their own pet and their own house. These can change depending on owner but you can rely on me following basic pet-sitting etiquette such as never allowing a pet out unwatched and keeping dogs on leads when walking on public paths that specify so. I will also regularly update the owner on the status of their pets.

Ellie looked after my 2 dogs for 10 days. I left them knowing that Ellie would 100% look after them; she was undeterred by a needy, Velcro Vizla and an older nervous Lab! Ellie sent me regular updates of what a wonderful time my girls were having. Ellie loves nature, walking and exercise so my girls had plenty of long, regular walks! Ellie was meticulous in looking after our house and plants, was settled into our home very quickly and even visited my neighbours with a homemade cake! On our return, the dogs had been so well looked after, my Vizla ignored me for 2 days! I would certainly book Ellie again, she is trustworthy, reliable, sensible, loves dogs and is extremely competent in all things household. She’s a star.

Schedule
Currently I am unemployed and can house/pet sit for weeks at a time if need be. I volunteer at various places (the main ones being Thursday and Wednesday during the day) but such activities can be postponed if needed or timed to fit any needed schedule.
