I'm in grad school online and have pretty flexible hours. Usually my dog sitting days include a short walk (15-20minutes) in the early morning and a longer one mid-day to afternoon (45minutes - 1.5 hours) with another shorter evening walk. Weather and heat are always taken into consideration when planning daily walks. I'm also happy to follow the schedule and walk length that your dog is accustomed to.

Information Ellen H. would like to know about your pet
I'd love to know what commands your dog is familiar with. How they are on (or off) leash and how they are with other dogs. Let me know too if theres anything else thats important to know about your dog!
A typical day
First thing in the morning we'll head outside for my cup of coffee, this is either a short stroll or hanging out on the balcony at my place. Long walks will either take place in the mid morning or mid day (depending on heat). Then we'll chill for a little while and make sure to get another walk in the evening. I love to hike, snowshoe, and run. Some other activities may include heading to dog beach, another area of Donner Lake, or reading in a park. If there's anything your dog loves, I'm happy to incorporate that into our schedule too!

Providing safe and active care!
Pet care experience
I've been dog sitting and walking for over 13 years and have experience with many breeds. I live an active life style and would love to take your dog(s) on walks, runs, or hikes. I'm happy to get outside in the winter as well. I highlight the importance of exercise in my care and know that a tired dog is a happy dog! I'm also happy to follow any routines and dog-favorite activities of your own.
Reviews

Ellen was delightful and my dogs loved her. I really appreciated how she took note of the varying commands we use and made an effort to build rapport with each dog. She was kind, calm and patient and she took in a lot of information I was throwing at her very quickly and asked great questions. Will definitely use her again. Thanks Ellen!
I never have to worry when my dogs are in Ellen’s capable hands. She is everything you search for when trusting another human with your fur children. She is responsive, reliable, accountable and is a genuinely kind person which my dogs (of whom will tell you right away if they are skeptical) can sense and are at ease in her presence. She is great to work with and I wouldn’t trust my doggies on hikes, walks, house sits etc with anyone else! Thanks for all the love and amazing care you give our trouble makers, we’re so grateful to have found you!
Our dogs are in love with Ellen but more importantly we trust that our dogs will be safe with her while were gone. We also know the dogs are getting all the love, walks and play they need with Ellen. I couldnt imagine a better caretaker for our dog children.
