Hi, I'm Ellen! I've had dogs in my home my whole life, and I've been pet sitting in people's homes for 25 years. My boxer, Ginnie Lee, was my girl for 14 years before she passed in 2023. Being around animals brings so much joy to my life, and pet sitting is a part-time gig that makes me really happy. Dogs seem to warm up to me quickly, even the shy ones, and I treat every pup in my care like my own. CARE FOR DOGS WHO DON'T LIKE TO BE ALONE I work remotely full-time. Since I work from home, I can move in and stay with your dog for as long as you need, giving them up to 20 hours of care a day. This is a great fit if your pup is a senior, a puppy still in training, has separation anxiety, takes medication, or just does better with someone around. YOUR PUP IS MY #1 PRIORITY, AND MY ONLY LIVE-IN CLIENT I only book one live-in client at a time, so I'm not running from house to house all day. If I do step out, it's for a quick walk with another pup nearby, to grab something to eat, or run a quick errand. Your dog won't be alone longer than about four hours. YOU'LL ALWAYS KNOW HOW THINGS ARE GOING I like to overcommunicate so you don't have to worry while you're away. I'll text you photos and videos every day, along with an update on how meals, walks, potty breaks, and any medications went. YOUR HOME, CARED FOR LIKE MY OWN I'll bring in the mail and packages, water your plants, and feed your fish. I stick to your dog's normal routine with plenty of walks and time outside. My goal is to leave your home just as you left it, so you have nothing to worry about when you get home from a long trip. HOW I CAN HELP Live-in house sitting: up to 20 hours of care a day, one live-in client at a time Overnight + midday visit: 12 hours of care (8 pm–7 am, plus a 1-hour visit with a walk around 1 pm) Drop-in visits and 20-, 30-, and 60-minute walks LET'S MEET FIRST I'd love to meet you and your pup before your trip so I can learn their routine and they can get comfortable with me. Qualifications
Safety, trust & environment
I only care for pets in your home so they can stay somewhere familiar and comfortable. I keep doors locked, check gates and latches, and keep your dog leashed on walks unless you tell me otherwise. I stick to your pet's normal routine for meals, fresh water, exercise, and any medications, and I'll text you right away if anything seems off. I've passed Rover's background check, and I'll have your vet and emergency contacts ready before you leave. I'll keep your home clean and tidy while I'm there, just like I would my own.

Ellen was wonderful and kept me updated everyday and took pictures of my pup!! I felt at ease while away for a work trip.
We booked Ellen to house-sit and watch our two dogs and our friends' dog. She took great care of them, played with them, snuggled with them, and sent us daily updates with pictures and video. We felt relaxed knowing our pets were in good hands and were getting a lot of loving attention. We came home to a clean house and dogs that barely knew we were gone! I have known Ellen for over 10 years. She has been an animal lover and especially a dog lover as long as I’ve known her. She is currently a mom to a sweet boxer who is very spoiled! She is responsible and reliable. She will treat your pet as her own providing lots of love and attention.
Ellen was wonderful with my dog and always kept in touch during the vacate! Ollie loved her and she went above and beyond in his care.

Schedule
I work remotely full-time, Monday through Friday, so I'm home during the day instead of commuting to an office. When I'm staying at your house, I work from your place, and your pup gets company all day plus walks and potty breaks worked in around my schedule. I only take one live-in client at a time, so your dog always comes first. I'm also happy to build a routine around whatever works best for you and your pup.

- Please share your pet's feeding schedule, any medications, allergies, and your vet's info. It's also really helpful to know their quirks, like being scared of thunderstorms, trying to slip out the door, or how they do around other dogs and people. Let me know your house rules too (are they allowed on the furniture or the bed?), plus alarm codes, trash day, and any plants or other pets that need care. The more I know, the more your pup's days with me will feel like their normal routine.
