I am currently working a 9-5 job that would allow me to walk or drop in on your furry family member in the mornings and evenings as well as the weekends.

At this time I am not hosting dogs in my home, but when I’m caring for a dog in their own home, I make sure to keep the pup on its normal schedule as much as possible as the owner’s absence is already confusing on its own so maintaining the schedule minimizes any anxiety the dog may face during your time away.

Some information that would be helpful to have for your pup ahead of time especially for walks are temperament around other dogs and people so I’m aware, any allergies or unfortunate habits like eating random things on the ground that I should be mindful of while walking, and any specific commands used with the pup so I can keep communication consistent while you’re away.
A typical day
Providing your pup with fun and entertainment to me is based on the personality of the dog. I’ve cared for dogs that loved playing fetch so in that case I’d either bring some balls and ropes (per the dog’s size) and give them a solid time of fetch either in their own yard or on an retractable leash that gives them room to run. Other dogs may prefer indoor floor play, so in this case I’d have noise making toys and balls to run them around my spacious apartment or their own home depending on the circumstance. If I do venture out with dogs I’m boarding, I’ll typically take them for walks in parks near to their home so they can have a change of scenery and smells!

Hey, my name is Ellen and not only have I owned 3 amazing rescue dogs, but have been relied on by neighbors, friends, and family/friends of friends to care for their 4 legged family members. Some dog types I’ve cared for are puppies under 2 months old to a 16 year old senior ranging from miniature size to larger medium size dogs. Unfortunately, I don’t bathe dogs unless absolutely needed (which does happen sometimes) but typically will walk, feed and play with the pup I’m caring for.

Ellen watched our dog champ for a few hours and was fabulous! I was so nervous to leave him and Ellen made sure he was well taken care of so I could enjoy the night. Would definitely have her watch Champ again!!
Ellen was taking care of our two doggies for about a week. She sent us pictures and videos of Brian & Shakira at any time while we were on vacation. Our babies were feeling confortable like at home ,at her place, and were very happy going out for a walk with her, even they only understand spanish comands,commands, they understood her language of care and love that she gave them during their stay. Ellen was very sweet and nice to work with. She took great care of our little Papillon and even sent us photos and videos. Her apartment is clean and well decorated and she lives in a dog friendly complex. I highly recommend her for your furry companion’s stay!
Ellen has cared for our puppy since Erebus was 2 months old and not yet house trained; for both extended periods and short stays; sometimes planed in advance and some times at the last minute. Which is to say that Ellen is very flexible. When i picked up Erebus the first time it is evident that Ellen created an immediate and affectionate bond with the puppy and also bought her a gift. On one occasion i forgot some essentials but Ellen was at the ready with her usual "don't worry, I'll take care of it". Anyone who wants a caring and loving person to care for your dog, i highly recommend Ellen. She provides all that and a wonderful nurturing environment.
