I only take 1 dog at a time, so your dog will be spoiled for attention and enjoy a peaceful home all to themselves. I don’t have any pets in the home and really enjoy having a little companion! I live in a small house in West Ashley with a fully fenced in private backyard. Your dog is welcome to lay on the couch or sleep in bed with me if that’s what they’re used to at home. I’m a “home body” and love nothing more than curling up with a cozy blanket, a good book and a dog by my side! I love being able to give dogs a home/ family, calm and 1:1 experience while their parents are out of town, rather than the chaos of a boarding facility. Other details: I have two children ages 3 and 4 but depending on your reservation they may be at their Dads house during your dogs stay. If they’re with me, your dog will need to be child-friendly. I have a full time job that is partially in an office and partially remote from home, so depending on the schedule I may be away at my office sometimes during your dogs stay.

Ellen and her boys were phenomenal hosts for our doggie Quinn! They welcomed her with a warm and loving home with lots of space to play in the backyard. We appreciated the pictures are updates throughout her stay!
Ellen was amazing! This was my first time having someone other than family watch Meeko and I was nervous how he would do. He was well loved by Ellen and her family. Ellen is a great communicator and sent me daily updates! Meeko had the best week. I’m so grateful to have found someone like Ellen to take care of Meeko!
We couldn’t have asked for a better dog sitter than Ellen! She took amazing care of our Lab, Gunner, while we were away, and we felt completely at ease knowing he was in such good hands. Gunner absolutely loved her! She kept us updated with regular photos and messages, which meant so much and really helped us enjoy our time away without worry. When we picked Gunner up, he was happy and clearly well-loved. It was obvious he had a great time and was treated like family during his stay. We’re so grateful to have found Ellen and will definitely book with her again in the future. Highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, compassionate, and trustworthy dog sitter!
Ellen was so fantastic. She really loved on my pup Cash like he was her own. I got lots of updates and pics and felt beyond comfortable while I was away from him.
Ellen was fantastic! She has a great fenced in yard for your dog to enjoy. She sent lots of pictures of our pup while we away. Ellen made us feel very comfortable with leaving our dog with her. She loved on our pup like he was hers. Great communication! Highly recommend! We will definitely use her again!

Schedule
Im off every weekend and work from home 2 days during the week, so I can spend at least 4 days each week at home the whole time with your pet.

Safety, trust & environment
I live in a small brick ranch style home and my backyard is completely fenced in. There are a couple steps down into the backyard but otherwise it’s one-story for your older guys who may need less steps in their lives.
A typical day
I’ll be able to give them free rein of my big backyard, take them on walks on the West Ashley bikeway, have a companion while I’m cooking and relaxing in the couch watching tv with them!
