A deeply caring approach to looking after your pet
I have been looking after dogs, cats and guinea pigs since I can remember, having had 2 rottweilers, a chocolate lab, a miniature schnauzer, 3 british shorthair cats and two guinea pigs until the age of 23! Since then I have been house sitting and dog walking for 4 different clients permanently and taking bookings for individual needs on dog walking apps! It's lovely being able to do what you love for a living 😊 I provide home stays, house sitting or dog walking. I can administer medication and have a range of experience with different breeds, with differing temperaments and have received training from the RSPCA personal trainer in Stoke on Trent in how to manage and strategise through varying situations that can arise with different behaviours and tempraments of your furry friends, to ensure they have the best but more importantly the safest experience when under my care and supervision. I've also taken a couple of doggies to training classes on behalf of their owners so have seen first hand the development of characters and put into practice techniques learned during these and over the years of experience. Everyone has a tailored approach of how they wish their pets, their little family, to be treated. Always with love and compassion but of course each family has a unique way to address and comfort in certain scenarios. I'm happy to discuss what suits you and your pet, happy to video call and meet up before bookings, whether it be to take your pet or pets for a walk, to sit in for an evening or house sit for a while I can promise you they will be in safe hands, their wellbeing and your comfort is my priority. I tend to walk for 90 minutes each morning and around an hour of an evening, I work from home so am always available for care needs around the clock.

Ellen has been brilliant with our dog who can be awkward at times. She kept us informed and was very flexible.
Ellen provided a very warm welcome to me snd to Ollie and Casper and it was immediately clear they were going to be well looked after. Sure enough, I received a video of Casper taking over Ellen's bed and Ollie having a great time too. Text updates were regular and more than reassuring. On pick up, everything was ready to go and Ellen provided a final update. Thoroughly recommend Ellen and I will definitely be booking again.
First time on Rover and my two pug princesses were thoroughly spoiled rotten by spending time with their Aunt Ellen. Would definitely board with her again and would recommend her.

Safety, trust & environment
I can house sit at my home, I have a lengthy slab and gravel yard and tend to sit and work in the garden on nice days, so the dogs can run around. I ensure that areas remain safe, clean and comfortable for the pets I care for. Maintaining focus on the regime they usually follow aside from creating a fun and playful and often times restful environment. Depending on the house, the environment and where they are allowed to play. Regular walks and outside time usually allows playtime within this, and slumber when they are at home with lots of snuggles if welcomed. Respecting each animal is of the most importance to me, recognising and learning the signs each pet expresses to understand how they prefer to be cared for whilst maintaining the expectations of the owners wishes.
A typical day
If on a home stay house sitting, wake up in the morning and allow the animals out to the toilet whilst making their morning food, shortly after taking them on a walk usually 30 minutes to an hour, my house backs on to a nature reserve which is handy! Usually I take dogs for a walk twice a day but usually follow the usual walking schedule of the owner. Lots of playing and if able running about and getting that energy out! Meal requirements and specific preferences of arrangements can be made. As I dont drive I always ask owners and make plans of where to walk and which route before attending the assignment to ensure the pets always get what they deserve, lots of play lots of fun and lots of love. Some pets eat 3 times a day, some only twice this will be discussed, often times if the weather is good, we will sit in the garden or patio area for a while each day to allow rest and comfort outside the house in a familiar environment. And then comfortable evenings inside.
