For me, pet sitting isn’t just a responsibility but a heartfelt commitment to their comfort, happiness, and well-being. When house sitting for more than 3-5 days, I also make sure your house plants are tended to, bring in your mail, take out trash and ensure your home is cared for with the same attention, so you can relax while away knowing your home is in good hands.

Back home in Austin, I regularly look after repeat clients cats, dogs, and small animals of all ages and personalities. Whether it’s keeping routines consistent or adding in some extra playtime and affection, I treat every pet as if they were my own.

Understanding their typical daily schedule—such as when they eat, walk, play, and rest—helps me maintain consistency and comfort. I also ask how they signal when they need to go outside, what kind of reward system you prefer, and any guidance on whether you’d like me to use positive reinforcement or corrective feedback. Knowing the boundaries in your home, such as where pets are allowed, as well as any restrictions on interactions between animals, ensures I can keep your pets safe, happy, and stress-free while you’re away.
