Adventure & Cuddle Buddy

I spent 14+ years with my dog, getting him as a puppy and seeing him through to the bitter end with complex senior care. Now I often foster dogs that need an in between home. When your pup stays with me, they can everything from hiking adventures and dog parks, to lounging on the couch or sunbathing by the pool. I know how to work with puppies and senior dogs, and love taking all dogs on walks and giving them tons of belly rubs. I work entirely from home with my husband so I'll always be here to watch and take out your pup.

Frankie had a longer stay with Elle and it was wonderful - Elle & Frankie absolutely adore each other. Elle took the best care of Frankie.

Elle was a great companion for my little guy, Jacopo. Jacopo is a senior dog, and Elle was very keen on making sure he was comfortable and cared for. He had a great time, and she even got him excited about a toy he had shown zero interest in! Elle is also funny and warm, and she communicated quickly and with kindness. I would highly recommend Elle!

I cannot recommend Elle enough. When my husband and I needed to drive out of state due to a sudden family matter, we scrambled to find someone to take care of our puppy. Elle was patient, understanding, and enthusiastic to help, which set our minds at ease. We’re incredibly grateful to her and we’re confident that you’ll be more than satisfied with her services.

Thank you so much for taking care of Frankie - she can be wary and anxious around new people but she was instantly comfortable with you and was happy and excited each visit. We will definitely book again.

Elle was great with Tiger! He really warmed up super quick. Hope to have Elle have Tiger again. Sue also took some of the cutest photos of him!

Schedule

I work for myself so my schedule is very flexible. Usually I do a morning walk and a sunset walk for 20-30 minutes each and can do longer if needed. We have a fenced in yard that dogs can relieve themselves in any time. We live near the Silverlake dog park, where small and big dogs both have options. I also hike Griffith park twice a week if your pup wants a hike. Our neighborhood is very dog friendly and I know all the best spots to keep your fur baby entertained.

Safety, trust & environment

Our yard is fenced in so you pup can sunbathe, watch the birds, or relieve themselves any time during the day. At night I'm always in the yard with pup to make sure the night critters don't scare them while they do their business. Our house is quite large so there are plenty of spaces and smells to explore. It's also very quiet in our home with double paned windows for more nervous pups. I don't have a crate but you're welcome to bring yours.

A typical day

We like to start the day on a physical note with a nice neighborhood walk or hike in Griffith park. Then we come home and get breakfast. If it’s nice out, we get some sun in the yard and check our emails or cuddle on the couch. We will play fetch or do a puzzle around lunch, and then your pup will probably nap while I work. Around sunset we take another long walk then get dinner. We go to the dog park during if your pup likes that and we might chew some bones. Before bed we go outside for a potty break and then go to bed to do it all over again! All day we give belly scratches and love.

Please be honest about your dog’s level of house training and chewing. We love dogs but our house is quite nice and we like to keep it that way. We totally understand an occasional accident but we can’t take animals that aren’t fully house trained. I haven’t worked with special needs dogs outside of senior care with my own pup. We do have people visit our house - cleaners, business clients, friends - so if your dog is not friendly to strangers let us know. We don’t tolerate biters as we run our business from home. If your pup is an escape artist let us know so we are never in the yard without them and we can make sure they stay safe when we open the door.
