I've taken care of my own dog, Charlie, now a 9-year-old English Pointer, since I was 14 years old. He required a lot of exercise (walks twice a day) but also due to other complications being a purebred dog, he needed a lot of attention and care, as well as medication twice a day for the past 6 years. I also have experience with cats, as I grew up with a Siamese and Burmese (both purebred, and have very strong but different personalities), which I then had the joy of experiencing taking care of two litters of kittens with my Burmese cat. Thereafter I have fostered puppies (range of ages from 3 and a half weeks old to 1 year old) for 5 years for multiple dog organisations. I have dog sat for a family that had a very old and blind dog, whom needed special care as he was blind and needed help getting outside, which I would do early every morning. I also completed a job shadow of a nurse in a veterinary practice, which needed caring, teamwork and interacting with pet-owner clients. I have experience ranging from very young dogs and cats to very old, and also those who require a lot of attention and those who do not.
