When I am with a pet they are my main focus, all of my attention is on them and their well being. During drop ins I make sure to check on their daily habits (eating/drinking, litter box/outside business, etc) as well as their behavior while they are with me and report all of the information to the owner.

Let me know if your pets have anything that you know makes them uncomfortable or makes them nervous. I want to make sure your pet is comfortable with me as much as possible. Some things might include: scared of the vacuum, doesn't like delivery drivers/trash collectors, loud sounds, etc. Also, if they like certain things certain ways, such as their food being mushed up, etc.
A typical day
My favorite thing to do with pets I care for is to engage in play or enrichment. I think the best thing for our fur friends is to keep their mind engaged so their bodies stay as healthy as possible! For cats, this means toys like wands, mice, and catnip! My favorite place to take dogs would be to a park where there is more space to move around and explore, but up and down your own street is just as great!

Certified in American Red Cross Pet CPR and First Aid. Now with more availability during the daytime for lunch walks or drop-ins! During the week housesitting now available! I've owned pets all my life, and have been responsible for caring for my own pets since I was in middle school. I am especially experienced with cats, but am happy to take care of any and all pets! I was in charge of cat care for at an animal rescue in Peru where I stayed for 6 weeks, as well as volunteered at an all cat shelter in Santiago, Chile for 2 weeks. I have also done volunteering with cat care at various animal shelters here in the US. I currently volunteer locally as a Cat Companion and adoption specialist at the Capital Humane Society. Although my focus has been cats, I am comfortable working with all animals, as animal shelters need help in all places! I have taken cat behavior courses and am specially trained to know how to communicate with and understand cat behavior. One of my greatest joys is being able to earn the trust of a cat! In addition to caring for cats, senior pets of all shapes and sizes hold a special place in my heart. I want to help make their 'autumn and winter' the best years of their life. I currently own 2 cats but have both owned and lived with dogs in the past. I have some experience in caring for other animals including turtles, rabbits, hedgehogs, birds, and fish. I will follow all of your instructions on how best to take care of your pets and your space - you know them best! Leaving a space cleaner than I found it is important to me - I will do my best to respect your space as if it is my own.

Ella was amazing. Zelda seemed to like her very much. I was very nervous having my child in the care of a stranger for the first time while I was gone but she help ease my nerves after this experience definitely will be rebooking.
