Animal Lover <3
I’ve helped to take care of my pet dogs all my life. While raising my frenchie, Sulley, from the time he was born (four years ago) I gained a better skillset for puppies. I’ve had pet dogs of all sizes & ages, however I currently have NO DOGS LIVING IN MY OWN APARTMENT. I am a University student in the program of Environmental Science, majoring in Ecology. Last summer, I worked part-time at a Doggy Daycare and I thoroughly enjoyed my time spent with the dogs there. I hope to pursue a future career where I can study wildlife, and care for the creatures within our ecosystems.

Ella was wonderful with my dog Romeo. She was easy to communicate with for planning and for sharing updates, and Ella took great care of Romeo. She made sure he had time to play, nice long walks and plenty of attention when he was staying with her. She clearly has a strong connection with doggies & I felt very good about leaving my puppy with her!

Schedule
I am currently a full-time student at the University of Guelph, so I have multiple classes per day throughout the week. I am available most of the day on Monday, Tuesday, and Friday. I have a late night class Wednesday and Thursday night. I do not drive, so I often walk to and from places around town.

Safety, trust & environment
I like to have the dogs constantly within my reach, and (at the very least) I like to know where they are at all times. Having my eyes on my dogs is something that I tend to do typically out of habit. Water is always filled and kept clean, and feeding is done based on their usual routine. I always watch pets while they’re playing with toys, to make sure they are behaving well and playing safely.
Pets
A typical day
I love to sit and spend time with dogs, just hanging out as friends. We can go on walks and play fetch until we are out of breath. I love to be affectionate with dogs, cuddles and pets are my #1 priority (unless they prefer otherwise). Sometimes I like to watch things on tv that are geared towards the dogs to keep them amused and happy as well.

- I am not specifically trained for any pet/any breed of any pet, but I am comfortable with any breed of dog. I am not uncomfortable with watching cats, however I am far less knowledgeable in the physical behaviour of cats, as opposed to dogs. Understanding a dog’s mood based on their body language and behaviour is something that I am very experienced with.
