Occupational therapy assistant by day and pet lover 24/7! I started my Rover business as a side hustle to hone in on my love for animals last summer and it’s grown and continues to! Fun fact about me, I have a rescue I am training to become a therapy dog! I have worked on multiple horse farms with animals including rabbits, cats, dogs, and horses of course. I take care of many dogs and cats in the borough of West Chester & surrounding areas after work and weekends. I would love to help you!! Ella is wonderful. She is very reliable and flexible. When I left town for a wedding and had no service she Was kind enough to forward the updates of the pups to my partner. I am definitely going to ask for her services again. My pups were very happy and well taken care of. Thank you again!

I always ask the owner for the dog’s routines, any health related medical diagnosis, and what it is important I provide at the time of service. Safety wise, I always make sure doors are shut yard fences are closed, and dogs have access to fresh water. I also make sure there is no contact with unknown pets and dogs. And if there is contact with dogs I make sure it is safe first and both dogs feel comfortable and can be easily contained.

It’s important for me to know things including the following - Is your pet good with other dogs? Are they reactive in any way? Do they have anxiety or separation anxiety? Is there a medical issue I need to treat and be aware of? Do they have any allergies or medications during visits? What does their routine look like? Do they like rainy or cold or hot weather? Does anything trigger them in particular? What is their exercise level? What games or toys do they like? Do they try to escape? Is there any resource guarding? Do they show any aggressive behaviors and if so what are they? Are they house trained? Are they crate trained? What do they need during the visit? Do they need a crate or bed during their visit? Do they tend to chew or damage furniture?
A typical day
It depends on the dog and the day! I take full advantage of living in the borough. I love taking dogs to Everhart or Marshall Square. There is also a small fenced park I occasionally utilize if I am caring for a very high energy dog, since I sadly don’t have a yard and only my small apartment. To make up for the lack of yard I always make sure walks are frequent. Sometimes I will also go in the coffee shops around town and get the dogs a lil Milkbone ?

Availability
I am in the borough of West Chester! I work during the weekday, so I am mainly available after work (evenings) and weekends! If I have a day off I tend to fill it as well, but sadly those are rare.
