Your Dog's Home Away From Home.

PLEASE NOTE: Now taking ONLY King Charles Cavalier Spaniels I believe in quality care, and will not take more dogs than I am comfortable taking good care of. I want the dogs to feel loved and happy in my care, while safe and secure. The dogs will be inside with frequent outdoor playtime. I have a huge, securely-fenced yard. I have dog sat many years, started a dog park in the previous state I lived in, and volunteered with dog rescue groups. I'm fine with your dog sleeping in my bed with me. I have a lot of experience with senior dogs and administering medications. Dogs love my yard, I bought the house because of the huge yard for my dogs. I added gates to both my front and back porches for their safety and security. I use only non-toxic lawn and weed treatments in my fenced yard and avoid poisonous plants. As a former garden nursery manager, I am well aware of how many common plants are toxic to dogs. Please note: There are some breeds within my weight limit that I will not board. Some of these breeds are very nice dogs but just don't mix well with the small dogs I accept. This may be due to being too large and frisky and can run into a small dog, a Doodle is an example of that. If it looks like a big dog, then I'll view it as a big dog, and I will not board. Conversely, if a small dog is over my weight limit due to being overweight, I do not have a problem. Or, if it is a short dog but over my weight limit, like a Basset Hound, I don't have a problem, providing all is good once we have a meet and greet. I prescreen all dogs with a meet and greet. I do not take herding or hunting dogs. I will not accept any dogs with powerful jaws. Even though I do not take large dogs, there are also some smaller breeds that also have powerful jaws. House-training; All dogs must be trained to go outside, off-leash. I will not accept dogs that are trained for pee pads. I am home full-time. Boarding is my full-time work. I take the dogs out frequently, about every 2 hours. I want your dog happy and content. There is plenty of room for them to run around and play. I have a large, securely-fenced yard, a double-gate entry, and fenced and gated front and back porches. I will not take certain breeds and I prescreen all dogs during a meet and greet.

This was Molly's first stay with a sitter and it was very successful. We especially liked getting the photos showing her having fun in the pool. Would defiantly use Elizabeth again.

Elizabeth took great care of our girl for 9 days! We were anxious about being away for this long but she sent many photos and was quick to respond to my messages when I reached out. We appreciate that. Would definitely have Elizabeth care for her again for a long trip or a day stay. She's watched our girl on several day stay occasions as well and the care is always excellent. Thank you for taking care of our girl! <3

Elizabeth took great care of our dog. I was able to feel very relaxed while he was in her care, and I knew that he was getting lots of love and having fun with the other dogs. She also sent many pictures of him, too. I appreciate that.

Elizabeth is awesome! She takes great care of our Freya, with lots of love, and has been flexible with us at short notice. We love all the photos she sends us and are happy knowing she's in good hands when she's there!

I can't say enough good things about Elizabeth. The sitter we had booked cancelled less than 24 before we were suppose to drop our dog off and 4 days before Christmas. I contacted Elizabeth and she was able to quickly arrange a meet and greet. She did a great job of introducing my dog to all the dogs there and she asked asked a lot of pertinent questions about my dog. I like that she only takes small dogs; my guy definitely does better with smaller dogs. Elizabeth sent a lot of updates and pictures through Binoo's stay. And she was very understanding when he peed in the house the first night (much to my shame) and put him in a belly band to keep him under control. Binoo actually seemed to make some friends during his stay which was nice because he's not always a social guy. I'm really pleased with Binoo's stay and will definitely use Elizabeth's services again.

Schedule

I am home full-time. Dog care is my full-time occupation. I have a large, securely-fenced yard and the dogs go out frequently. The dogs have a great time running around the yard.

Where your pet will stay

Home characteristics

Lives in a house
Has a fenced yard
Non-smoking household
Has 3 dogs
No children present
Dogs allowed on bed
Dogs allowed on furniture
Potty breaks every 0-2 hours

Safety, trust & environment

I am home full time. The dogs have the run of the main floor. I do separate dogs for feeding. I added air conditioning after last year’s heat wave.

Pets

A typical day

I toss a ball a lot and never leave dogs unsupervised in the yard. I will also give your dog high quality treats rather than the junk treats so commonly sold that are bad for your dog. Your dog(s) will get a lot of attention from me.

0 to 15 lbs
16 to 40 lbs
No females in heat
Elizabeth can host up to 5 pets per night
I want to make sure a non-aggressive breed/mix that is socialized with small dogs. I will take an elderly golden or lab or similar if socialized with smaller dogs. I also want the dog house-trained, (NOT pee pads), vaccinated, (or on natural treatment that I review) and not a digger or chewer. Must be on flea prevention.
Each sitter joining Rover needs to pass a background check. And by booking on Rover, you can get photo & message updates, 24/7 support, and reimbursement for eligible vet care.
