I grew up with dogs, cats, and bunnies. I have worked at two animal shelters caring for all kinds of dogs with many different temperaments. I have a wonderful 8 year old dog that I got as a puppy. I took him to training classes and socialized him so I have a lot of experience in this realm. I understand how important it is to provide a safe, loving environment for the animals in our lives.

I am currently only accepting requests in the pets own home, so I trust the pet owners to provide me with the information I need to make sure your pet is safe and happy at home. Do they have special toys they like to play with? Treat and trick time? A special walk route? You let me know what makes your dog happiest and I will stick to that!

Elizabeth made me feel so comfortable leaving my rescue dog at home! Bruno has some particularities that make us hesitant to leave him with anyone aside from a short list of good friends. He prefers his space and only enjoys being petted when he initiates it - a totally different personality than your typical dog. He is also suspicious of strangers, especially men, so it's difficult to leave him with someone who doesn't know him well. This all means that someone who watches Bruno must be very patient in developing their relationship with him, very respectful of his personal space, and aware of their surroundings when taking him on a walk to avoid potential confrontations -- Elizabeth exemplified all of these qualities. She came over to meet Bruno before our booking and asked lots of astute and important questions. During her stay, she communicated with me frequently and sent lots of pictures. On the first day, she let me know that Bruno gave her a little nip as she walked by - I so appreciated that she told me this, so that I could offer advice on what he was probably reacting to. She went above and beyond on implementing that advice. It is obvious to me that she approached her relationship with Bruno with utmost care, because the next day he approached her for some snuggles, which he would only do if he felt very comfortable, safe, and respected! I would not hesitate to ask Elizabeth to stay with Bruno again, and I am so grateful to have connected with someone who will respect his personality.

Elizabeth was a genuinely fantastic dogsitter/housesitter for my dog, Josie. Josie is a shy, anxious, and sometimes reactive dog -- Elizabeth cared for her with real tenderness and was willing to move at Josie's pace/respect her boundaries and work with her to make sure that my dog felt safe and comfortable with a new person in the home. Elizabeth also took many pictures for me while I was away and was an incredibly considerate housesitter, I truly can't recommend her enough!
Amazing again and will definitely continue to have Elizabeth watch over my fur babies!!
