Pet care experience
Hello! My name is Elizabeth (wife) and I would love to take care of your pets! I grew up with dogs all my life, with big dogs, like German Shepard/St. Bernard mixes to small dogs like Pomeranians. I also grew up with an orange cat, named Garfield. My home growing up was filled with animals that were abandoned and were living on the street. My family had taken in a stray whom unbeknownst to us, was pregnant with 5 puppies. We helped with the mama and found forever homes for each pup. I rescued a Beagle, named Scrappy; whom I trained for basic obedience commands and walks off leash. He was also a therapy dog for other dogs that have had traumatic issues growing up because of his calm personality. An organization reached out to me because of a Walker Hound, named Hansel, who was afraid of his own shadow. With the help of my Beagle, we helped rehabilitate the Walker Hound who ultimately became part of our family. Hansel was previously afraid of mostly men, had no manners, and was very feral. After a year of rehabilitation, he loved most people, including the mailman, learned to walk on a leash, and had basic obedience commands. I have taken care of all sorts of animals (not on Rover) but am looking forward to taking care of yours. Recently lost both of our dog's due to old age and cancer and while I'm not quite ready to commit again to a companion, I thoroughly enjoy filling that void with everyone else’s!! I will love your dogs and cats as my own.

Reviews

Elizabeth is always wonderful. Great pictures and clear depictions of the how the day went. We are so thankful Remi had a friend while we were away.

As expected, Elizabeth provided excellent care for my cats and chickens.

Elizabeth drove through the snow each day for a week to get to our little farm where she thoughtfully cared for our chickens, house cats and barn cats. She sent photos everyday and provided my cats with plenty of attention during her drop-ins. I highly recommend Elizabeth as a pet care specialist and intend to book her services again soon.

Liz was great. Really made us feel better about having to leave for an extended period. Lots of great pictures and feedback!
