Patient, Kind, Trustworthy Sitter

Hey, I’m Elizabeth! I'm a recent UM grad and am in Ann Arbor for the next couple months until I'll be moving to Chicago. I'm a true animal lover and have had pets all my life. I have cared for all types of animals, from dogs and cats to chickens, goats, and other farm animals. I believe in consent-based care. I approach animals slowly, give them space, let them see and sniff me, and let them decide when they’re ready to open up. I’ve also had experience giving pills to senior dogs and cats and even changing animal diapers, so I’m comfortable supporting pets with special needs. As a former full-time nanny and household manager, I'm experienced with basic household duties as well. When housesitting, I am happy to take in mail and packages, water plants, and will always keep a tidy home. I will also send you plenty of photos and videos of your pets! I’m patient, willing to learn the specific needs of your pets, and committed to being gentle and kind. Additionally, I have my own car and have lived in Ann Arbor my whole life; I'll be able to reach you easily and, in case of emergency, can get your pet to the vet ASAP. Thank you for considering me and I look forward to meeting you!

Safety, trust & environment

When I’m caring for pets in a client’s home, I treat their space with the same respect I give their animals. I make sure doors and gates are secure and locked and keep their routines consistent. I always move slowly and let pets come to me at their own pace, so they feel safe and in control.

Elizabeth was amazing with our very sweet and very needy golden, Indy. He got all the walks and belly rubs and snuggles he wanted. I wish we had connected with her sooner! Can’t recommend her enough.

Elizabeth was wonderful and very experienced and prepared to take care of my senior dog. I knew my old boy was in good hands and couldn’t recommend her more highly! Will look forward to having her back on my next trip!

We've had pets with special needs over the years: a cat that needed a pill twice a day, a female dog in a heat cycle, and a rescue dog with complicated behavior. Elizabeth always took excellent care of all of them and showed genuine care and compassion. She's truly an animal lover and I can't recommend her more highly.

Elizabeth is a responsible and compassionate caregiver. We have 2 high energy dogs, a Pitbull and a Brittany, who are so attached to her. She is our first choice for caring for our dogs, and our home, when we are gone. Highly recommend.

While I do have experience with senior pets, reactive animals, and those with special needs, please let me know beforehand if there are particular duties (medical administration, diaper changing, etc) that I should be aware of, or triggering situations I should avoid with your pet (e.g. crossing the street when approaching another person or dog, loud noises, sweeping, etc).
