Safety, trust & environment

I try to care for pets at their own pace, I like the “meet them where they are at” perspective. I like to make any pet I am around feel safe and comfortable with my presence and actions. If a pet is apprehensive and needs space, I try my best to give that space, and I never want to force affection onto that pet. The same can be said for an affectionate pet, I try my best to match their energy and to keep them as happy and safe as possible. I hold the same ideas for walking dogs as well; if a pet wants to run, I’ll run with them, and if they want to walk and take their time slowly, I will go slowly with them.

Information Elizabeth S. would like to know about your pet

Let me know if there are any special or specific needs your cat/dog requires that’s I will need to account for. I would also like to know what your pet’s temperament is. For example, if your dog can be nervous or aggressive with other dogs if I am taking them for a walk, that would help me to know if I should be avoiding other dogs, or otherwise adjust my route or actions depending on the situation.

A typical day

A typical day for me will depend on the pet I am caring for. If your dog is hyper and needs plenty of engagement, then I will try my best to keep them engaged with lots of playtime and bringing them on walks/jogs around the area. In contrast, if your cat/dog is low energy and would rather cuddle and lay around for the day, then I am happy to sit with them and go at their own pace.

Pet care experience

Ever since I was nine years old I have been involved with pets in my own home, as well as helping friends care for their pets. I have had several cats and dogs ranging in many different tempers, needs, and personalities. I love my pets dearly and I hope to be able to connect with and help other pet owners with walking, giving extra attention and playtime, feeding, and any other services I am able to provide for their beloved pets.

Elizabeth sat my 8 month old kitten for a week while I was out of town. He seemed happy and well looked after when I got home, and the house was all in order. Elizabeth seems confident with cats and kittens and was able to handle his energy level/playfulness. It would have been nice to receive more updates and photos throughout the week.

Elizabeth has always been great and dependable. She was able to help us last minute when we were in a bind and are so thankful to have her as our sitter!

If you need a kind, caring, responsible & responsive animal lover to hang with your fur kids, then Elizabeth is your gal! I have a very random work schedule and have had Elizabeth hang with my very spoiled pets about 6 different times in the last month. Each morning I leave I am relieved to know she will be there, and take care of them the way I would which is really just to be near them. I have very long workdays and I am so pleased to return home to the fur kids not needling my 100% attention because they actually got some quality human time while I was away. The routine includes feeding and snacks and being outside, in a limited space. She's been so kind and available to their needs and my random schedule and I am absolutely grateful to have had this experience. This is also my first time using Rover, so cheers to good quality care to deserving pets! And if you couldn't tell from the above info, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND HER!!

A kind and caring animal lover!! I know this because Elizabeth made an effort to come meet with us before we needed her services as I have a summer work schedule thats a bit odd. When I got home from work, my "kids" were so calm and content, I didn't stress one bit, she was comfortable having my cat off leash which made him very content. Thank you!!
