Pet care fits really naturally into my daily and weekly routine. I plan my schedule around making sure pets get consistent care, including regular walks, feeding times, and plenty of playtime (especially fetch!). I’m used to building my day around their needs, whether that’s early morning walks, midday check-ins, or evening routines. I also make sure I’m available to give them attention, exercise, and companionship throughout the day, so they feel comfortable and cared for the entire time.

When I care for pets through walking, I focus on making sure they get safe, enjoyable, and active time outside. I follow their usual walking routine, including preferred routes, pace, and any specific instructions from the owner. During walks, I pay close attention to their behavior, keep them hydrated, and make sure they’re comfortable the entire time. I also give them plenty of positive interaction, whether that’s letting them explore, play a little, or just enjoy being outside. My goal is to make each walk fun, safe, and something they look forward to!

Before watching a pet, it’s really important for me to know their routine and personality so I can give them the best care possible. I like to know their feeding schedule, any allergies or medications, and their energy level. It also helps to understand their behavior, whether they’re friendly with other dogs, if they have any anxiety, or any habits like chewing or digging. I always ask about their favorite toys, walking routine, and what makes them feel most comfortable so I can keep their day as normal and stress-free as possible.
A typical day
A typical day starts with a morning potty break and a walk to get some fresh air. After breakfast, we usually spend time playing fetch (a favorite!) or other fun games to get their energy out. Throughout the day, I make sure they get plenty of attention, with a mix of playtime, relaxing, and outdoor breaks. If they enjoy being around other dogs, we’ll include some social play too. In the afternoon or evening, we’ll do another round of fetch or go on a walk, then wind down with dinner, cuddles, and a calm, cozy environment before bedtime.
