I treat every pet like they’re my own and make it a priority to follow their normal routine as closely as possible. In a client’s home, I’ll make sure they have fresh food and water, plenty of exercise and playtime, bathroom breaks, and lots of affection. I’ll also keep their space clean, administer medications if needed (with instructions), and provide regular updates with photos so you know how they’re doing. If I’m caring for a pet in my home, they’ll have a safe, clean, and comfortable environment with plenty of attention, exercise, and supervised care. I always pay close attention to each pet’s personality and needs to make sure they feel relaxed, secure, and loved while you’re away.

Before caring for a pet, I like to know their daily routine, feeding schedule, exercise needs, and any medical conditions or medications. It’s also helpful to know their personality, favorite activities, fears, triggers, and how they interact with other people or animals. I always ask about emergency contacts, veterinarian information, and any house rules or special instructions so I can provide the safest, most comfortable experience possible and keep your pet’s routine consistent while you’re away.
A typical day
Every pet is different, so I like to tailor activities to their personality and energy level. For dogs, that could include walks, fetch, tug-of-war, trips to a nearby park (with the owner’s approval), puzzle toys, or simply spending time playing and exploring. For more relaxed pets, I’m just as happy to provide belly rubs, cuddle time, and companionship. For cats, I enjoy interactive toys, laser pointers, wand toys, and giving them attention on their terms. My goal is to make sure every pet stays active, engaged, comfortable, and happy while you’re away.
