Pet care experience

Trustworthy Pet Sitter!

I’m a full-time MSW student and a part-time employee at MUSC with a rotating schedule, who adores dogs, cats, and horses. I grew up with two dogs of my own and trained one of them to be a therapy dog, so we were a certified Therapy Dog team for years! I love training dogs and am always happy to play with any dog that's interested! I am good with dogs of any size and love cuddling with them, yet am good at reading dog behavioral cues. I am very responsible, laid-back, hard working, trustworthy, and am happy to work with any animal. I also like cats and horses and have plenty of experience with both. Additionally, I worked in a veterinary clinic and on a farm for a while so am familiar with basic animal care in case of emergencies!

There’s no doubt that Elizabeth is an animal whisperer—not just dogs, but all animals. As a young child she took her own dog to obedience classes and continued on to become a certified therapy dog team. In years since, she and her dog have visited both schools and nursing homes, sharing therapeutic companionship and making life-changing friendships. Elizabeth is also a life-long equine enthusiast, having been a regular barn visitor since before she could walk. She is an accomplished rider and caretaker, but mostly she seems to enjoy just being surrounded by horses, dogs and various farm animals. Not just a casual animal-lover, Elizabeth has also interned with vets, attended the Royal Veterinary College London summer program, and done a great deal of volunteering with animal shelters and rescue organizations. I can not recommend Elizabeth highly enough. She is extremely responsible and conscientious and I trust her completely with both my animal and human children.

Yes! I'd love to know a bit about your pet before meeting them. It's not necessary, however I'd love to know their breed, age, special needs, and a teeny bit about their personality. I am a strong believer that the personality of the individual pet speaks for itself, not their breed! So, no, I don't have any breed preferences.
