Why walk when you can run!

High energy dogs are my specialty. My dogs are my running companions, and we'd love to have your furry friend (or two) tag along! I’m an experienced bird dog foster, so those pups who require something more than a walk are right up my alley. I've always been a dog lover. We always had a dog or two growing up. As an adult I took up running, but I was super jealous seeing people who ran with their dogs. Moose, my dog at the time loved fetch but not running for the sake of running. I vowed I was going to adopt a dog that loved to run next. Enter Chief, my now 6 year old German Shorthair/Lab mix. He is the BEST training partner and made me fall in love with German Shorthair Pointers. In 2020 I started fostering for the Mid-Atlantic German Shorthair Pointer Rescue. To date I have rehabilitated, trained, and helped find loving forever homes for 15 GSPs. I firmly believe dogs are part of the family and not just possessions. They thrive with time, commitment, understanding, and love. Every dog is different and has different needs. Whether you're looking for a dog sitter, dog walker, or dog runner we've got your covered.

She is always the best with Lucy and cares so much for all the dogs. Lucy clearly loves to spend time at Elizabeth’s house.

We left Sarge with Elizabeth and her family for four nights. From the pictures Elizabeth provided on a regular basis, Sarge seemed to fit right in with her family. Plenty of space in her backyard for Sarge and her dogs to play, she kept us informed and managed to keep Sarge entertained. He certainly enjoyed himself and we’re happy to know our fur baby was in the great hands. Thank you Elizabeth!! We will certainly see you again!!

Elizabeth was wonderful! She came and met my pups the day before and they loved her. Everything went off well and I'm having her back already. I really appreciate how flexible she was at a last moment request. And, I loved her report! Will use again! Thank you!

Thank you Elizabeth for going above and beyond for our odd ball pup over the holiday. You know you got a good one when your dog doesn’t want to leave with you. Thanks again

Calendar and availability

Schedule

The dogs are an integrated part of life in my house. First thing when we wake up it's out to go potty then breakfast before some playtime. After work we're out and about, going for a run, or long walk, or some afternoons we head to Bacon Ridge for a hike. If we have another dog staying with us who likes fetch we'll pull out the chuck-it and play ball.

Where your pet will stay

Safety, trust & environment

In my home the dogs are crated when I'm gone for their own safety (and so I don't lose anymore blinds). Meals are provided in the crates to eliminate the chance of any negative encounters. Initial introductions are supervised and play is 100% supervised until I'm comfortable the dogs all respect each other's boundaries. My backyard has a 5 foot wood fence, and dogs are not outside the fence without a leash on. If dropping into your home to provide a potty/play break we follow your rules.

Pets

A typical day

The dogs (Chief and Todd) and I wake up early, have breakfast, and play for 1-2 hours. While I'm at work the dogs are crated. After I get home from work it's play time! We either go for a long walk, run, or hike. Depending on the dog we may also spend time playing fetch in the backyard. Dinner is served around 6 or possibly a bit later if we've gone for a hike.
