Pawsitively Loving Pet Care

I promise to treat your fur babies like my own! I love animals and I am happy to take care of yours while you’re away. I definitely LOVE cats and I prefer smaller dogs. I have worked with animals for a very long time and have experience with larger dogs (and ones that may not have perfect behavior!) I think it’ll depend on the dog when we meet to see if it’s a good fit!

Elizabeth was an excellent sitter for my cat. While my cat was extremely shy, Elizabeth made an effort to talk to her and leave her snacks while under the bed! I heartily recommend her!!

Elizabeth was just terrific with our young shy cat Alice! By the end of the week, our kitty was sitting in her lap and cuddling. She promptly responded to any concerns I had and was there every day at the time she said she would be. Highly recommend!

Unfortunately, my experience was not what I had hoped for. When I first met the sitter, I explained that I preferred she not bring her husband into the home, as one of my dogs doesn’t do well with men. Despite this, she brought him with her one night, saying she didn’t feel safe being alone because it was late. I understand personal safety is important, but if someone doesn’t feel comfortable being alone in a client’s home at night, this may not be the right job for them. There was another situation where I had people swimming at my house, and she chose not to come inside because she said she didn’t feel comfortable—even though she had spoken to those same people the day before about a job opportunity. As a result, my dog wasn’t fed until 11:30 PM, and I had to find someone else to step in. Lastly, while she didn’t harm my pets, we watched her interactions on our cameras and felt she didn’t come across as particularly warm toward one of our dogs. Overall, I didn’t feel this was a good fit, and I would not book with her again.

A typical day with the pets I watch includes plenty of playtime, such as fetch or tug-of-war, nature walks for exercise, and cuddle sessions. I’ll also provide interactive toys to keep them mentally stimulated, ensuring they feel loved and entertained!

It's important to know your pet's medical history, dietary needs, and any allergies they may have. Understanding their temperament, favorite activities, and any fears or anxieties they have helps me create a comfortable environment. Additionally, knowing their daily routines and any training commands will ensure consistency in care.
