Flexible Minneapolis Pet Sitter

HI! I go by Eli, and used to go by Liz for reference in my reviews :-). I'm a contract attorney and rescue dog & kitty owner living in North Loop, Minneapolis. I would love to sit for your pets, give them baths or grooming, take them on walks, or just play around. I have a very flexible schedule and decades of dog/cat/rabbit ownership experience. I have experience working with dog and people reactive dogs, diabetic dogs, dogs with congestive heart failure, and other medical issues. I’m also very comfortable providing care to newborn puppies and mommas as I have volunteered with them in rescue. Although I work a lot with rescues, I don’t discriminate and would love your purebred or special doodle mix just as much as you do. I don't discriminate with cats either. Having been a cat owner or cat roommate really for the majority of my life, I have a healthy respect and genuine love for those adorable little apex predators. I have experience with all ages of cats including providing cat medications and enrichment activities. I also grew up with pet rabbits (indoor) and would absolutely adore sitting for your bun. You got a bearded dragon? I can handle that. Snakes? Awesome. Really elaborate fish tank? sounds fun! Every pet deserves a loving home no matter where they came from :-) Please feel free to contact me with any additional questions.

Safety, trust & environment

I wont currently be hosting in my home but depending on the service, Im available for drop ins and let outs and walks. I am extra cautious for the escape artists as Ive had one myself in the past. This includes things like double checking gates and doors, and double leashing when newer or questionable.

Elizabeth was a very conscientious and kind sitter for our dog, Ollie. He can be a bit shy and she treated him with a great deal of sensitivity. Liz provided us regular updates, complete with pictures, which gave us great comfort that all was going well. She stayed overnight at our place and that also worked out well. Really, everything was good, and we would recommend her highly.

Liz is the epitome of an animal lover. When not spending time training and loving on her own pack, she is out volunteering at local rescue shelters. She is extremely patient with pups, and understands how to make them feel comfortable and safe. If you get her to take care of your animals, you can rest assured they are in good hands.

Elizabeth loves animals. She is the proud owner of three rescue pets: 2 dogs and a cat. One of the dogs was born with diabetes and she is extremely conscientious about his care which requires a lot of planning and scheduling of time. All 3 of her pets are very loving because of the love she gives to them. Elizabeth is an early riser just to spend time with her pets before she heads off to work. Her pets come first. I would highly recommend Elizabeth as a dog sitter.

Schedule

For a little over 8 years, my entire schedule revolved around my diabetic dog. Sadly he passed away in January 2025 from cancer. As a result of being on his schedule for so long, I have a dedicated set of habits daily still with my remaining little dog and my newer cat. Its a daily act of love and I take animal welfare and routines seriously,

Cats
0 to 15 lbs
16 to 40 lbs
41 to 100 lbs
over 101 lbs
Elizabeth can host up to 8 drop-ins per day
Any med needs. Any things that they do or don't like. Any preferred play or activities. Are they an escape artist? Do they tolerate heat or cold or rain for walks? Do they have any reactivity to people, animals, places, or things? (men, hats, cars, vacuum cleaners and mops etc.)
