Pet care experience

Your Pet’s New BFF – Liz

Hey! I’m Elizabeth I’m a college student studying nursing with a big love for animals! I offer boarding and drop-in visits, and I’ve grown up around pets my whole life. Right now, I have three adorable cats and a turtle, and I also volunteer with local shelters by taking dogs on staycations to give them a break from the kennels I have experience with big dogs, shy pets, and everything in between. Whether your pet needs some playtime, cuddles, or just someone to check in while you're away, I’ve got it covered. I’ll treat your pet like they’re part of my own family—because that’s what they deserve! Can’t wait to meet your fur baby!

Pets

Safety, trust & environment

When caring for pets in my home, I make sure they have a quiet, cozy space to relax, plenty of attention, and a routine that matches what they’re used to. I keep things calm, clean, and stress-free—especially important for pets that might be a little nervous in a new environment. I follow your instructions closely, whether it's feeding schedules, medication, or favorite toys and treats. For drop-in visits, I take time to bond with each pet so they feel comfortable while you’re away. I make sure they get playtime, fresh food and water, a clean litter box or potty break, and some love and attention before I go. I treat every pet like they’re my own—with care, respect, and patience.

Schedule

Pet care is a natural part of my daily life! With three cats at home, I’m used to building my schedule around feeding times, play sessions, and plenty of snuggles. I also make time during the week for volunteer staycations with shelter dogs, which has taught me how to balance school, responsibilities, and pet care. Whether it’s early morning drop-ins or evening boarding routines, I’m happy to fit pet care into my day—it doesn’t feel like work when you love animals!

Before I start pet sitting, I make sure to gather important details to ensure everything goes smoothly. I’ll ask for basic information about the pet, like their name, breed, age, and any health issues or medications. I also need to know their daily routine, including feeding times, exercise needs, and potty habits. It’s important to understand the pet’s behavior and temperament, like how they react to new people or situations. I’ll also get emergency contact details, including their vet’s info. I’ll check for any household rules, such as where the pet is allowed to go or what they should avoid, and clarify how often and in what way the family prefers updates. Lastly, I’ll confirm access to the house and any special instructions for handling emergencies or health concerns. This helps me provide the best care and keep everyone informed.
