Elizabeth can care for
Availability
I’m typically available for morning and evening visits during the week, and I can occasionally do a midday check-in if you're located near East Campus. Weekends are usually more flexible, and I’m happy to coordinate timing that works best for you and your pet! I work full time and attend grad school part-time, but pet care is something I genuinely enjoy and make time for in my routine.

About Elizabeth H.
Safety, trust & environment
For drop-in visits and walks, I aim to keep your pet’s routine as close to normal as possible. I’m comfortable with leash handling, walks around the neighborhood, and safely using fenced yards for supervised outdoor time. For cats, I take care of litter box scooping, feeding, and giving them attention on their terms—whether that’s playtime, cuddles, or just a quiet presence. I always make time for enrichment and connection—whether it’s tossing a toy, chatting while we walk, or belly rubs. I’ll follow your care instructions closely to make sure your pet feels safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away.
Information Elizabeth H. would like to know about your pet
Let me know about any fun (or more serious) quirks—like favorite toys or treats, if your dog loves to bolt after squirrels, or if your cat has a favorite hiding spot I should check. If your pet needs medication, please include the dosage, timing, and whether it should be given with food or in a specific way. The more I know, the better I can care for them just like you would. *** PLEASE NOTE: If medications are required, a small fee per dose will be added. Typically $1 per oral administration, and $3 per injectable administration ***
A typical day
Whether it's cats or dogs, I focus on giving pets the attention and care they enjoy most. For cats, I’ll give gentle pets, play with toys if they’re into it, and keep their area tidy. For dogs, I’m happy to go on walks, play fetch, or just spend time giving them love and stimulation. I can also give treats if the owner approves! I like to tidy up if I see spilled food/water, or if a toy gets shredded, I also check and scoop litter boxes.

Vet Tech Providing Trusted Care
Pet care experience
I grew up with both dogs and cats and started working in a small animal veterinary clinic at just 15 years old. I began in the kennels and boarding area, then moved up to veterinary assistant while still in high school. I went on to college to become a veterinary technician and passed my licensing exam in 2013. I practiced as a licensed vet tech here in Lincoln for 3 years while finishing my bachelor’s degree. Though I now work in veterinary diagnostics and research, I still maintain my license because animal care has always been a lifelong passion. With over a decade of experience in the veterinary field, I’m comfortable caring for pets of all ages and I’m experienced in administering medications and following detailed care plans. You can trust that your pet will be in compassionate, capable hands. I’m also the proud pet parent of two cats and a cocker spaniel who keep life fun and full of fur!

Reviews
Very pleased with Elizabeth. Great communication and attention to detail. Would hire again.
I can't recommend Beth enough! She cared for my cat while I was away on a week long vacation. Beth consistently sent me updates and cute videos to let me know how kitty was doing, and gave me peace of mind leaving the country. She went above and beyond, playing with and showing attention to my cat on her visits. Beth is great!
