All my life I’ve had a special dog and/or cat friend. I’ve had horses, chickens, pigs, and Pygmy goats, too! I worked at a Thoroughbred horse farm, volunteered at a no-kill cat sanctuary where I cared for cats in the cat hospital, fed the cats and cleaned the facility. I’ve volunteered at the Kansas Humane Society as a dog walker, cleaner, feeder. I’ve recently downsized and moved into an apartment and find myself, for the first time, without a pet. Fortunately, I have three grand-pups and a grand-kitty I see and baby-sit often. I also have a neighbor, Lola, a fabulous terrier, who I’ve fallen in love with. I’m retired and find myself with time available for even more fur babies!
