I am on the southeast side of Sioux Falls. I offer walks, check-ins, and daily/overnight stays. I can also bring my dog over for play dates if that is desired.

When at the clients’ houses, I will let the pets out if there is a yard/electric fence. I would watch them even if they are fenced in. If there is no yard, I can walk them to go potty or for exercise. I can also clean litter boxes. I can give dogs oral medicine if needed. If pets need to be monitored while eating due to fast eating or food aggressiveness, I can separate the pets as needed. I will also play with and cuddle the pets that want to! I send plenty of pictures and video updates to the clients as well.

I want an idea of a dog’s routine, but I also like to know quirks about dogs! What kind of behavior should I expect when they’re playing (possessiveness, clumsiness, hyperactivity)? I like to know if they eat their food at once or graze throughout the day. I’d also want to know if they’re anxious with new people in their space or if they’re anxious being alone. These will all help me gauge how long my visits should be.
A typical day
I love to play fetch (if possible) or play tug indoors with dogs. I love dog parks and I know the busy vs slower times. If physical play isn’t possible, I know a few tricks to get some mental stimulation going, which is just as important. I’m also down for cuddling if a dog is tired!

Pet care experience
I’ve had family dogs forever- 3 at a time usually. I was responsible for taking them outside after school. I would also walk all 3 at a time, successfully. I watch them overnight for my parents when needed now. I pet sat in high school and college. I’ve also fostered dogs while in college, and I adopted one of them. I’m not fostering during this year, but I’ve had my rescue dog for 6 years now. I did Rover during Summer 2022, Summer 2023, and am doing it again now while I am between jobs.
