Pet care experience

Animal lover! @loco4dogs

I absolutely love dogs (and cats too!) I have 1 pet in the house, a 4 year old shih-poo called Kym. I work full time but my partner and I have a business in Newcastle under Lyme so I take the dogs with me to the office, it’s a big open plan space where they normally love to run around and play (and enjoy being the centre of attention of course!) It means I can provide lots of attention, play, socialisation and walks for your dog but they need to be toilet trained, okay with meeting new people and must get along with my dog. I live in a 2 bedroom house with a large enclosed garden for the dogs to run around, next to a park which is great for regular walks long or short. I have been looking after dogs for 6 years now and it’s great to give a furry friend company whether it’s a few hours, an over night stay, or a 2 weeks stay I love it! I’ve had dogs of all ages, needs and breeds stay with me and I can be adaptable to suit your’s and your pets needs. I will always try and keep the same schedule for you where possible. I can be quite flexible on pick up and drop off times and I never leave a dog on his/her own (unless it’s part of your routine in training them) If they are allowed on your furniture at home then they are allowed on mine. I like to keep everything consistent for your pooch.

Safety, trust & environment

I like to try and stick to your dogs routine where possible to keep it consistent for your pooch. They will go everywhere with me including work, cafes, restaurants. My home is a safe space where a dog can’t get hold of anything they shouldn’t have and I have also completed a dog first aid workshop. A few years ago I paid to complete a 6 month dog training course too.

Elizabeth was great. She was friendly and Monty got on really well with her. She gave great updates each day and spent a good amount of time with Monty. Thank you for looking after him for us. Would definitely recommend.

I love to know how they are with people, their schedule for meal and walk times. Any potential behaviours I would need to know about like pulling, resource guarding and jumping. A few things they love and the things they don’t love. And lastly if they have any special requirements.
Each sitter joining Rover needs to pass a background check. And by booking on Rover, you can get photo & message updates, 24/7 support, and reimbursement for eligible vet care.
