Loving Care For Dogs
I've been caring for dogs since middle school, including over 12 years of hands-on experience caring for my own dog, Aubrey. I've also had family, friends, and neighbors rely on me to walk, feed, groom, and care for their pets. Over the years, I've gained experience with dogs of many sizes, breeds, and personalities, including Golden Retrievers, mixed breeds, Yorkshire Terriers, hounds, Chihuahuas, and Corgis. I especially enjoy caring for senior pets and making sure they receive the patience, attention, and affection they deserve. I like spending quality time with them, grooming them, observing their behavior and how they're doing, and making sure they're comfortable and cared for. I've also expanded my experience through volunteer work with Rockland Orange Furrever Homes and the Hudson Valley SPCA, where I've worked with shelter animals and gained additional experience observing animal behavior and providing hands-on care. Whether your pet needs a good walk, a meal, some grooming, companionship, or simply someone who will give them plenty of love and attention, I want them to feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while you're away.

When caring for pets in a client’s home, I focus on keeping them safe, comfortable, and following their normal routine as closely as possible. I make sure doors, gates, and other exits are secure, provide fresh water and meals according to the owner's instructions, and give pets plenty of attention and exercise. I also pay close attention to their behavior and overall condition so I can recognize anything unusual and communicate concerns to their owner. During walks, I use safe handling practices and stay aware of the pet's surroundings, other animals, and potential hazards. I want every pet to feel comfortable and cared for while their owner is away.

We had such a great experience with Elizabeth! She was wonderful with our dog and sent us updates every day while we were away, which gave us so much peace of mind. She even took the time to research his breed and behaviors so she could better understand him, which really impressed us! She was also very flexible and accommodating when we ended up picking him up at a later time than planned. Most importantly, our dog seemed very comfortable and happy with her. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would definitely book with her again!
Elizabeth has worked with my family to help take care of our senior Golden girl, Starbuck, since she was a little puppy. I travel a lot for work, especially over the last few years and Elizabeth has been there to either housesit or board our girl at her home. Elizabeth has always been very kind and diligent with our dog and takes amazing care of her. Elizabeth has administered medication, provided grooming services (this is especially amazing because our girl hates having her nails clipped in her arthritic paws but let's Elizabeth do it without a fuss), exercised and showered our Starbuck with lots of love over the years. At this point, our dog probably loves Elizabeth the most. We feel very lucky to have Elizabeth and truly could not imagine anyone else caring for our girl.
Elizabeth Guzman is the perfect person to take care of your pet. We have had our share of pets over the years and they were naturally attracted to her. Elizabeth is a loving, caring and patient person. She has cared for our loving and dearly departed pet Aubrey. Elizabeth has washed, brushed and tended to Aubrey's body and paws. She has also taken her for walks, to the vet and for rides. Elizabeth took great care of aubrey up until the very end. Elizabeth is great for taking care of your pet too.

Schedule
I currently have a flexible schedule, which gives me plenty of time to dedicate to pet care. I enjoy making time for walks, play, grooming, companionship, and simply getting to know each pet's personality and routine. I'm able to be flexible with my availability and want every pet in my care to feel comfortable, safe, and loved.

I'd also want to know about their feeding and walking schedule, medical or dietary needs, medications, allergies, behavioral concerns, and how they interact with other animals and people. Knowing what makes each pet comfortable and what activities they enjoy helps me provide care that fits their individual needs. I'd also want emergency contact and veterinary information in case something unexpected happens.
