About Elizabeth D.
Safety, trust & environment
Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I provide a calm, loving environment where pets receive individual attention and care. I have experience with pets of different ages, personalities, and needs, and I understand the importance of following each owner’s instructions regarding feeding, exercise, routines, and special care. My daughter, who is the only other person who lives in my home, works in the veterinary field, so our household has an added level of knowledge and awareness when it comes to animal health and wellbeing. I will treat your pet like part of my own family and keep you updated so you can feel confident while you’re away.

Information Elizabeth D. would like to know about your pet
That is a great thing to include, especially because many owners of strong breeds worry about finding someone comfortable and confident with them. I would avoid the word “misunderstood” by itself and frame it positively. Here’s a Rover-friendly version: I welcome dogs of all breeds, sizes, and personalities. I have a special appreciation for strong, intelligent breeds such as German Shepherds, Pit Bulls, Dobermans, and other powerful dogs that are often misunderstood. I understand that these dogs thrive with patience, consistency, structure, and someone who takes the time to build trust with them. I also have experience with puppies, seniors, and pets who need extra patience, medication reminders, or individualized attention. I’m happy to learn each pet’s unique routine and personality so they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while they’re in my care.
A typical day
A typical day in our home includes plenty of fresh air, play, and companionship. We love starting the morning with a trip to the dog park, then heading back again in the evening when the weather cools down for games of fetch, exploring, and relaxing on the grass while listening to the birds. We’re lucky to have a beautiful park nearby where a large flock of parrots lives in the trees, and we enjoy visiting them each day. At home, we spend time with our kitty, watch the fish, care for our plants, and enjoy a calm, loving environment where pets can feel comfortable and included.

Pet care experience
I’ve loved and cared for animals my entire life. From my own pets to those of friends, family, neighbors, and clients, I’ve always been someone people trust with the animals they love most. I have experience with dogs and cats of all ages, including puppies, kittens, seniors, and pets who need extra patience and attention. I’ve raised cats, cared for a litter of kittens from birth until they found their forever homes, and have also had the privilege of being there for several dogs during their final chapter of life. It was an honor to provide comfort, companionship, and a peaceful presence during such a meaningful transition. I believe every pet is unique, with their own personality, routines, and ways of feeling safe and happy. I take the time to understand what each animal needs, whether that means walks, playtime, quiet companionship, medication reminders, or extra cuddles. My daughter, the only other person in our home, works in veterinary medicine, so animals are truly a part of our everyday life. Your pet will be welcomed into a calm, loving environment and treated with the same kindness, patience, and respect I would give my own.

Reviews
i’ve known liz for a long time, and i can honestly say she’s one of the most caring and trustworthy people i know. she has a natural connection with animals and always makes sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved. she’s patient, responsible, and pays attention to every pet’s individual needs, whether that’s sticking to their routine, giving them plenty of exercise, or just spending quality time with them. i would trust liz with my own pets without a second thought. she’s dependable, communicative, and genuinely treats every animal like they’re her own. i highly recommend liz to anyone looking for a reliable and compassionate pet sitter on rover.
Elizabeth took care of our Dog Beast while we were out of town, she sent us daily updates and photos of our baby. She took great care of him and he loved playing with her dog and going on walks and to the dog park. I would highly recommend her and she loves animals and I felt completely comfortable leaving our fur baby with her.
