I’ve fostered numerous dogs through animal shelters and volunteered as a weekend dog walker, which has given me hands-on experience with dogs of all ages, temperaments, and energy levels. I grew up with dogs and mostly larger breeds, so I’m comfortable and confident handling pups of any size. I personally trained many of the dogs I grew up with, with a special focus on loose-leash walking and teaching dogs to heel without pulling. I’m also a lifelong cat lover and have two sweet cats of my own. They are currently living with my parents in the United States while I am a student. To me, both cats and dogs deserve far more than just fresh food and water. They deserve genuine attention, enrichment, and connection. I also have experience with a wide range of animals from my years volunteering at a wildlife sanctuary. My life has always felt richer when I am surrounded by animals, and I bring that same love and dedication to every pet I care for.

In my own home, my two cats have full freedom to roam and explore, with cat shelves and cozy spots all over the place. I believe pets should feel comfortable, enriched, and truly at home, so I focus on more than just food and water. I make sure they get plenty of affection, attention, and mental stimulation. When caring for pets in an owner’s home, I take a similar approach. I prioritize building trust by spending calm, consistent time around them. In the past, when looking after friends’ cats, I would often sit and read or work in their space so they could get used to my presence and feel comfortable. My goal is always to help pets feel safe, relaxed, and well cared for in their familiar environment.

Schedule
Pet care fits easily into my routine because I’m home most of the time. I’m a student with classes only two days a week, usually gone for 4 to 6 hours. I also go to the gym about four days a week for 2 to 3 hours. Outside of those times, I’m at home and available, so I have plenty of flexibility to care for pets throughout the day.
