Safety, trust & environment
I will normally hangout with the pets when I visit, just a few minutes to give them attention. If they need some further affection or reassurance, I hangout with a book to get them calm and relaxed. I also encourage meet and greets - especially with dogs - before I start any booking, that way the pets can meet me with their humans and relieve some of the stress when I come by myself.
Information Elizabeth C. would like to know about your pet
Are they nervous or anxious? Do they have any places they don't like to be petted? Do they have any anxieties and how do you relieve them? Any allergies or sensitivities? What command words are used (like "drop" versus "give" when requesting a toy from the dog)? Any triggers? How are they around dogs, cats, children, adults, etc.?
A typical day
Walks, fetch, tug-of-war, as well as belly rubs! If there are parks or green-spaces nearby they are familiar with, I find it keeps them interested and engaged. There are lots of smells for them to sniff! For kitties, play with whatever toys they prefer or offer pets. If they don't seem interested, I'll just check in on them but respect their space. I'll sit nearby just so they see me and can come to me in their own time.

I love caring for all fur babies!
Pet care experience
I work a hybrid job, so I have free time in the mornings and evenings (Monday through Thursday) where I need to get out and care for pets! I've always had a dog and cat in my life, so I know the different needs that need to be met. I've also been responsible for caring for my neighbors', friends', and family pets. In the past, I helped foster and care for a mama cat and her five babies. I have experience with giving pets their medicine as well as brushing their coats. I can also give dogs a bath, as well as clean up any little messes (pee/markings, poo, throw up). If dogs need assistance with moving up or down stairs, I can assist in lifting them. I've taken care of a variation of dogs both in age and breeds.
Cat care experience

Elizabeth also cares for cats. Learn about their cat-specific care experience.
Reviews

When we had to leave town unexpectedly due to a family loss, Elizabeth stepped in to care for our cat, Inka, just as she did during our previous vacation. She took great care of her with the same love and attention. Updates kept us at ease, and her reliable, compassionate care makes her our go-to pet sitter!
Elizabeth C. cancelled a booking within a day of the start date.

Absolutely amazing - such a pleasure to deal with Elizabeth and feel so awesome for her to take care of Karma. Excited to see her again!

Elizabeth was amazingly patient with our shy baby girl. We booked her for our disney trip and wwwee very nervous about leaving our pup all day but Elizabeth eased our anxieties and was there for her and warmed up to her quickly. Will definitely use her again on future trips
