At work, I do my best to make every visit as positive as possible. Meeting the pets where they're comfortable and going at their pace. As an ER tech I'm trained to recognize signs of distress and illness and determine the severity of such to determine level of care needed. As well as having extensive experience handling special needs pets both my own as well as my patients. And both medically and behavioral special needs. Im currently mentoring under local trainers to advance my knowledge and understanding of behavior aswell.

Information Elizabeth B. would like to know about your pet
I have never shyed away from a pet for medical or behavioral reasons. I love being able to gain the trust of reactive dogs or spicy kitties. And I love giving special needs friends extra tlc. I do ask that all dogs be up to date on vaccines if being boarded in my home and will ask for proof at meet greet. If there is a medical reason for not being up to date please let me know. For overnight House-sitting I do have a service dog who has to come with me. She is well behaved and a meet and greet will be required.
A typical day
I love running and usually run most days. When that's not possible I love puzzles to tire out the friends I'm watching. Watching their brain working as they try and figure out how to get the reward, and the happiness when they finally figure it out is truly magical to me. I also love teaching new tricks to the pets in my care, I find it fascinating to figure out each dogs unique learning styles and how to teach them in a way they understand.

Pet care experience
I have had animals my entire life and they are my passion. I am also very passionate about training and have spent countless hours learning the latest techniques and tricks. I have worked in the animal field for the last 6 years. The past 5 as a triage nurse at a large specialty and emergency hospital. And taking care of others medically fragile pets. Working in emergency has prepared me to take on all kinds of unique challenges. I love being able to use my experience to assure owners that their fur babies are in good hands. With my special interest in training I'm never one to shy away from reactive dogs or any other behavioral concerns. I am fear free certified and currently enrolled to get my KPA CTP certificate. Feel free to reach out for behavior consultations aswell. I have a special interest in working breeds, I know they have very specific needs that have to be met and I am familiar with igp, psa, and other bite sports. I have a Belgian malinois/German shepherd myself so have personal as well as professional experience handling the high-drive breeds.

Elizabeth took amazing care of our dog and two cats while we were away. It was so nice knowing they were in such good hands!!

Can't say enough about Lizzie! Wonderful with our two girls and we so appreciated the great communication, not only with us, but with our son who was watching them at night. Met with her twice before our vacation and knew right from the start that not only was she a dog lover but was well experienced and had 'good old common sense'. We felt comfortable that our fur babies were in good hands and we would not have to worry one iota while we were in Europe and we were right. I can't recommend her enough!

Lizzy was great. When we got home from our 2 week trip everyone seemed calm and happy. She kept us updated on everything going on and even when she had a personal issue come up, she contacted me with a plan and ensured everyone was comfortable with the possible change. Would recommend.

Elizabeth is incredible! She took such great care of our dogs and home while we were away. She’s dependable, communicative and so loving with our pups.
